[Resolved]  PVR Cinemas — Failure to provide tickets or refund

I also had a similar problem with PVR Cinemas.

I have the same problem but the bigger problem is im not able to contact the customer care. Could anyone please provide me the customer care number..

They donot pick up the customer support no. at all.
We all should go for not doing an online transaction for sure

i had the same . pvr customer care doesnot pick the calls and make u run around. i think they do it knowingly and they do not refund the money.

I had booked tickets online on www.pvrcinemas.com for Avatar(3D) show on Sunday 27 Dec 2009 at PVR Ambience.The transaction amount was Rs 590. However I find now my Citibank credit card has been charged twice (that is 590 has been credited twice). I have written an email to [protected]@pvrcinemas.com but no response so far. Also no one is attending calls on[protected]. If anyone come across any useful information kindly share.

I have also tried several times on the number[protected] and finally someone picked up from the CC and they have informed they will get back to me in 24 Hrs time. So you can try on the number mentioned.

I faced the same problem twice. I think its better we spread the word and get PVR online website banned.

I got a mail from [protected]@pvrcinemas.com regarding the two failed transactions.
I got refund for 1 transaction too.
I may need to wait for some more time for other transaction, I suppose.

But its better they disable online banking rather than cause inconvenience to customers.

I have faced the same problem and i dropped their customer care an email immediately after that but unfortunately no response and no refund !!! this is very unfair and cheap !!!

I too have a similar problem, a couple of my email to their feedback and support mails made no difference. I made the booking on 6th Nov and today is 12th Nov. No refund. Meanwhile, I got their customer support number i.e[protected]. You can try this. but don't think this will be useful... Nobody bothers to pick up the phone!!

I also booked online 2 tickets for PVR Cinemas on 29/09/10 for ANJAANA ANJAANI movie from my DEBIT card, but I did not get any confirmation SMS or e-mail, But when I checked my netbanking it said the transaction was successful. The charge was made in favour of PVR Cinema. When contacted PVR, they ensured that they will refund the money within a week but nothing happened and then they started giving me run around. After such a long wait my patience is running over. Please help.

They've deactivated the above mentioned phone number and ask you to email them. It seems their customer support is ZERO. Just because they have a monopoly, how can they abuse their powers like this. Website of contact details is given below:

I also had similar problem. I tried to book 5 PVR tickets online through my netbanking. After the transaction it showed that booking failure, but transaction was successful. I mailed him on their [protected]@pvrcinemas.com 3 times, but they did not give any response. This seems that their customer support is zero. Could somebody help me to deal with this...

a good idea is to log in using your account on the PVR website. In case you don't get the usual message/ e-mail confirming your booking, you can just click on the Member's Zone tab. This shows your entire booking history. Just copy your Booking ID from there and you're home :)

Folks who don't have a booking id can still create one...you might just get your booking history...make sure you use the same e-mail id (the one you provided while booking your tickets)

The booking portal is just like any other website..it can have its bad days...BookMyShow is better though...never had problems with them...

Always log in first before you book your tickets...if you have trouble logging in or if the website is acting up DO NOT GO AHEAD with the booking...come back another time...

Hello guys i have faced the same experience when i tried to book online ticket of Dum maro dum movie last saturday, i tried with BOI net banking, my bank has successfully transfer the amount to PVR account, but PVR told me to revert back my money due to some technical reason. Still after 5 days i dont get my refund monery.

same case with me too, i have just now booked 2 tickets for Monday 4th July 2011 show at pvr naraina 10.30 am show and they charged me 180 INR for the same. my cc is showing a successful transaction whereas i have not received any sms or mail from these scammers pvr guys.
i have mailed them just now with my cc charged email as proof. in case they dont send me a satisfactory reply, i will drag them to consumer court as this is a breach of trust and they just take our money and vanish away without any after sales service and phone numbers.
its because of guys like you that such companies float in India. why don't all of you put a complaint against this pvr company in consumer courts? if you cant make a complaint then stop cribbing for your money and just keep mum and get ready for one more scam.
pity on you.
i will take my money back and will also charge them for penalty charges if they don't refund me in time.
