[Resolved]  Reader's Digest — Renewal of Suscription + 3 gifts

Dear Sir,

I have applied for renewal of my subscription through the offer made by Reader's Digest in december, 2008, Through their offer at 42% discount by paying Rs.379/- only (THE CHEQUE WAS DRAWN FROM MY SON'S ACCOUNT -PRADEEP KUMAR JAIN).I have twice called at their office on 5th of this month (Feb, 2009)at NOIDA, they promised to reply within 72 hours but it is almost 14 days passed and since than i have received no reply at all. This is the example of their poor service. Is paying in advance results like this?.

Please advise,

yours faithfully

Shame on you Readers Digest. I have tried before to respond to these cards, etc. that come addressed to me and it has always been to no avail. The site is not there and now here we go again.
Please. I think we are entitled to an explanation.
Shame on you, Readers Digest. This is not the first time that I have wasted precious time trying to enter one of your sites for an offer and cannot enter it.
This time is was the card mailed to me offering 3 free gifts. Really, do you
not think that we, your readers, are entitled to an explanation?
I will not renew again. 3 free gift scam is enough. i prefer to support companies that are honest.

i went on line and subscribed for Reader's Digest Recently but i don't know what happened. The charge has not yet showed up on my credit card so thank God.
Also pulled up the webb and no place to apply for my 3 free gifts. Have been a subscriber for many years and this is how they treat us eh.
The coments and complaints as expressed by number of RD customers are true.

Why offer luring the subscribers with something which is most ridiculous, if the assurance is not fulfilled?!!
Well, where do I go to receive my "FREE GIFTS", It certainly isn't on this
web site stated in this THING you sent with our latest issue. It says

SPECIAL SUBSCIBER GIFT REWARDS (in small print).

Yours truly, John Neen
ps. please reply.
no additional comments, just send free gifts
I just received this card that said 3 free gifts are witing for you and to go to this page and all I see re complains about not receiving the gift, What gives? Gisele Battle
Hey hope this gets posted. I too had initial problems with the website link on the post card. Most likely due to the internet browser being used. So I contacted readers digest through their site and they promptly sent a link in the return email that brought me to the three free gifts offer. They were available after agreeing to try another reader's digest product which I declined. So there is a catch, of course, but there is a way to get to the answer so many are seeking. good luck.
I agree with all of the above complaints.

I receivied this care with my copy of readers digest saying I had 3 free gift waiting for me and to go to this site. What did I win or is this a hoxes. If it is advertising then don't sent me anymore cards
Thank you
Marion
How do I get my 3 free gifts? Got the the card with my new Readers Digest Book, went to the site on the card www.readersdigett.com/3 free to claim them and this is where I end up. What gives????
I keep getting letters to renew my subscription a long time before it is due. You keep promising gifts if I renew my subsription now. I can never get into where the free gifts are anyway.
3 free gifts...web site brought me here...nice!

I guess I won't get those 10 min. of wasted time back will I.
I know I've done it as well but it seems to me that all they want is your full name and email address. Has anyone noticed an increase in spam since making this complaint here? Readers Digest once had an impeccable reputation but not anymore!! This will be my last subscription to them!! Your loss RD!!...and knowing that you don't even have the common courtesy to defend yourself against this accusation tells me that the accusations made against RD, re. this matter, is true. Shame on you RD!!
every thing that other people say in there comment's are a 110% true .why do you do things like this, do you get a kick out of things like this ?????????????????????//
I received my first issue of Reader Digest on my subcription. A card was send to me to go online (www.readersdigest.com/free) for the Reader Digest for 3 Free Gifts. I went on line and all I see was complaint on the 3 Free Gift. How do I receive them? Delores Quan
