[Resolved]  Reader's Digest — Renewal of Suscription + 3 gifts

Dear Sir,

I have applied for renewal of my subscription through the offer made by Reader's Digest in december, 2008, Through their offer at 42% discount by paying Rs.379/- only (THE CHEQUE WAS DRAWN FROM MY SON'S ACCOUNT -PRADEEP KUMAR JAIN).I have twice called at their office on 5th of this month (Feb, 2009)at NOIDA, they promised to reply within 72 hours but it is almost 14 days passed and since than i have received no reply at all. This is the example of their poor service. Is paying in advance results like this?.

Please advise,

yours faithfully

nice card
Don't know where else to register another complaint, so I'm going to place it here. We get 2 copies of the mag. every month. Can't we get them over a 2 year period instead of doubling? What a waist of money as one goes right into recycling.
this is a total waste of time. just forword my gifts is that to hard of a task . I also am very discontent about cash prizes telling me that my name was on the short list and never hearing about the results and this has happened for several years now.
I followed the instructions on the card I received with my current issue of Readers Digest, and all I found on the site were complaints. Where are the 3 gifts? This is false advertising and maybe a lawyer might be able to straighten this out. Please reply explaining what this all about.
I am still waiting for the 3 gifts as outlined on the card I received. It is now Jan. 25, 2010.

It's late for Christmas, I know, but when can I expect the three (3) gifts.

I'll not renew every since I started receiving this magazine they have been lying about these 3 free gifts.
Why would anyone renew so that they continue to waste paper just to lie? When I paid for the subscription all I expected was the magazine why they needed to mail a lie with magazine I just don't get so I just won't get anything from Reader's Digest. Ever.
how do you get the free gifts what a scam i already renewed so you got my money scam scam scam
My parents always told me there was no such thing as a FREE lunch! This is obviously a scam with a string attached. You have offended many customers who will no longer be customers, including myself and the gift subscription we give each year. If you send the books they will not be returned and I am not ordering them and will not pay or return them. Let me know when my subscription is up so I can cancel it at that timea
Shame on you

Reader's Digest — unavailab le 3 FREE GIFTS

I have been to your distribution center in Red Oak, Iowa.
I have been a long time subscriber to Reader's Digest.
I am upset about your tricking subscribers to go online for nothding.
I am sure that the owner who often resides on campus at
Mccalester College in Saint Paul, MN would not approve of this.
what in the world is 3free gifts if you cannot get them? Maybe readers digest should re-think this. I know if I don, t get my 3 free gifts soon I will not re-subsribe ever and I will tell everyone about this scam.
Yesterday 2/09/2010 we got your notice of 3 free gifts in the mail went to web site and ended up here. We are long time readers. At this time we feel that this notice is just another one of you standing JOKES... Should not have wasted our time on this for this kind of thing you do often. You need to put more time in your wonderful mag. and not waste it on JOKES...
What is up? I thought this magizine was on the up and up. Just like everybody else, this is the web site i got . What is going on with you guys? No I do not want any books, I am not going to pay for something your company said was free. Very disapointed with all of you. Seems like a total scam to me. A replay would be nice of your company. Thank-You.
What free gifts? I got the card but found there is no such website! What's up with this?
How do I receive THE 3 FREE GIFTS? I received the mailer and went to your site. Nothing Gained.
wherein the devil are the three gifts.
what kind of game are youi playing with use. were the hell are these free gifts
cannot find out what the free gifta are.
The three gifts are hard to find at web address given by Readers Digest. I went to their website (rd.com)and found the promotion for 3 free gifts after searching for it in the search box, filling out personal info and finding out they want to sell me something for those free gifts. Nothing is actually free. It is a promotion to sell you future items that will automatically come in the mail at a cost to you. Sure you receive a free book, download of smoothie recipes and one surprise gift, but you have to pay about $28 for each future book mailed to you! No gift here at all! Just wanting money from you! I skipped the "free" gifts. I can purchase my own books cheaper in a store on online. NO thanks to this offer!
In My opinion, RD is getting longer in advertising material and shorter on reading material in their magazine each year. This "free gift" offer is another of many sucker deals they have promoted in the past and I do not plan to renew in spite of all the free offers in future.
