[Resolved]  Reader's Digest — Renewal of Suscription + 3 gifts

Dear Sir,

I have applied for renewal of my subscription through the offer made by Reader's Digest in december, 2008, Through their offer at 42% discount by paying Rs.379/- only (THE CHEQUE WAS DRAWN FROM MY SON'S ACCOUNT -PRADEEP KUMAR JAIN).I have twice called at their office on 5th of this month (Feb, 2009)at NOIDA, they promised to reply within 72 hours but it is almost 14 days passed and since than i have received no reply at all. This is the example of their poor service. Is paying in advance results like this?.

Please advise,

yours faithfully

I received my renewal subscription and a card indicating that 3 free gifts were awaiting my response to the web site www.readersdigest.com/3free. Needless to say I arrived at this site and no gifts. To add insult to injury, they spelled my last name wrong. My name is O'Donnell, not McDonnell. It's not surprising that Reader's Digest has been on the brink of bankruptcy.
We just got our first magazine and through the mail comes this card.
Just go to this website to claim uor 3 free gifts

False and misleading. No where on the card does it say anything about having to renew your subscripiton to get the 3 free gifts.

Just send our gifts #RDAO[protected]/3# 3473NAKG

This is what we have come to expect from our business world. If you don't honor what is on the card,
don't dare think we will ever order your magazine or any magazine you plublish...AGAIN.
I can't find what the free gift's are either Is this a joke?
Although it does say "Special subscription gift rewards", in small print, this is what is upsetting to folks, as in big large letters, it does say 3 FREE GIFTS are awaiting you. This is what advertisment is today, readers must read always fine print. Most folks fine this upsetting and believe your company is trying to lead them astray. BEWARE!
after reading the other comments, i see there is no use expecting free gifts from these scammers bye, bye Pat
Ditto to all comments. Will not be renewing my R.D. subscription.

Been waiting 15 years+.
I phoned in to say I had received a bill for 20th Century A Musical Journey Love is a many splendored thing CD series. I did not order this. My order date was from Sept. 23, 2009, this is the first I have received a bill for that item (November 26th, 2009) for $41. I complained and said I returned it and that was in October. I asked them to note that I don't order any musical things because I am a musician and do not listen to soft educational type of musical CDs.
I also phoned (same phone call)to say that I had this card 3 Free Gifts are waiting for you? I used the site address and got the complaints about Readers Digest. All kinds of problems with Reader's Digest. I am adding mine. They have sent me like 4 or 5 items that I did not order, yet they have the stock in trade answer, we do not send items that are not ordered. In description of process, they apologise and say if I get another bill for that item, disregard it. The amount was subtracted from my bill. You can be sure I have written notes, dates, times of this problem and will continue to do so. I do not want to be paying for things I have returned. 3 Free Gifts is not working at all. I do not know why I get this when I cannot pull up the issue on site.
received no 3 free gifts
i renewed my subscription in July 2009 and caklled several times for the first issue that i never received...finally today 12/4/2009 it arrived and to my dismay it is the November issue...hello, this is December.. Wake up READERS DIGEST...further more my gift subscription to Andrew Casazza was never rexceived. What's going on.

Thirdly What about these "three free gifts" site. Is this another SCAM or I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, "A MISTAKE?

please respond or i'll cancel my subscription
actually, if you look on the card it is www.readersdigest.com/3free NOT /3gifts.

it went to a website for me that you can enter your info into and supposedly then send you 3 gifts, but i havent entered info yet...
how do you get the three free gifts? Got the card with my sub-scription. What's up?????
I, too, have tried to access this website with no luck. It isn't even listed?

Would appreciate knowing what is going on.

Thanks.
Hi

Unable to access the site for 3 free gifts.

Would appreciate an explanation.

Glady
A SHAM is what it is !!! The gifts are coming from India as far as I can ascertain...no doubt claiming these " gifts " will put you on another 10, 000 mailing lists etc, etc
I agree with all the above. Wake up rd are you'll be going out the door when we all quit re-ordering our subscriptions.
I want my three free gifts.
We also received the 3 free gift card but cannot find out how to get them.
if the card says 3 gifts please send them to me ONLY IF THEY ARE FREE!!!
