Hyderabad passport functioning is simply pathetic. None of the phone numbers are being picked up, griviance officer is not available, security gaurds at the enterance charge Rs 600 for entry. The passport officer charges extensive money on the table for taking documents, at the enterance board says No to Corruption, agents say with out corruption your case will not be taken up. Agent can get an appointment soon, the web site for individual is blocked for appointment. Emails and faxes are not being replied. There is none to tighten this department. The govt is hopeless. Corruption at the best is visible in this office which corrupt officers only encashing money and dividing this money to various bodies to stay un touched. If you can not run this, why not privatize and let people breath easy.

After waiting for some days with no date visible for appointment, I eventually thought I was lucky enough to get an appointment on July 13 2010. I confirmed the date and I got a PDF file with details as I entered in the registration form. Surprisingly no date was printed on the PDF form - but I found my name and what looked like a serial number on the side - So I happily went to the passport office on the appointed date and time thinking that the serial number would be enough as confirmation of the appointment. But I was turned away at the gate itself. Looks like the date and time ought to be there on the PDF. I tried registering a couple of times - however in-spite of getting date and time confirmation, no date and time are present on the PDF. I cannot but be helplessly disdainful of the the Regional Passport Office Hyderabad - inefficient and apathetic to applicants. Looks like their IT wing is either not present or sleeping.

I've emailed to Regional Passport Officer and tried to call many time but no response from their side...
Therefore I humbly request the authorities to do the need full and necessary steps, as this delaying could leads me to loose an good opportunity.

Dear Sir/Madam,I had applied for a new passport for myself (ANKUR GUPTA age 30) and my son AARAV (age 1 yr). But the website shows status for me as “Police report not received” and for AARAV “Due to unavoidable circumstances despatch of passport has been delayed and will be dispatched in a week’s time”. The status has been there for the last 3 weeks now but there has been no verification for me from the police side and my son’s passport has not been dispatched.
Please look into the matter on priority.
