[Resolved]  Reliance ADA — Promised services not being supplied

Address:Maharashtra

This is probably the sixth time I'm writing about the pathetic Internet broadband service rendered by Reliance. My data card number is [protected].
I mainly operate Reliance from three areas in Mumbai, Santacruz, Juhu & Sion. But since the day I have taken up Broadband service from Reliance, I have been a cheated by Reliance for the poor speed they provide and have been a victim of their absolute dominance they have over consumers like me. No matter any number of complaints that I have made, they have fallen on deaf ears.

Since June the speed that they provide has been way below the speed they promise originally promised.

I have to regularly call them to solve this issue and they put the call on hold for several minutes. They did reduce the amount charged to me by Rs 200 for four months, but now refuse to reduce it by any amount because they say that, since I have already been waiver for four times before I am not eligible for any further waiver.

Could some one from reliance please explain me, forget the waiver, why should I pay in first place when I am not getting any Net speed at all?

And why is this biased policy, which is totally in your favor, that if a customer is given waiver for four months, because you cannot provide net speed in his aread and you agree that you have second rated servers (who do not have load bearing capacity), he or she is not entitled for any further waiver? That means you will continue to cheat us by charging exorbitant amount for no service!!

The last few months have been really traumatic for me. Each time I have to make a presentation the net speed reduces to 0.0 kbps. The speed and service is absolutely disgusting.

The person whome I spoke to last has said the ONLY person who can look into my issue is Mr Tilak Chaterjee. So Mr Tilak or some one form his team, who is reading this please reply, what is your plan of action to resolve my problem, that is if you care!

Reliance ADA — Committed service not being rendered

Hi,

This is my second message on consumer forum against Reliance NetConnect for their pathetic broadband service and their apathetic response to the complaints that I have made. I did get a call once for the complain I made earlier asking me to withdraw my post, but then they did not follow up!!

I am using their broadband connection since June this year and have a word of caution for other future/prospective broadband users, please stay away from buying Relaince Netconnect.

When I bought their service they promised me speed of around 1mbps for browsing.surfing and more than 300kbps for downloading for the first few 3GB. The speed from start was never close to that range from the beginning, but around 50-60 kbps when downloading. This was still acceptable, but later the speed reduced significantly to 8-10 kbps when downloading. After complaining repeatedly in the second week itself, they said that I stay in a network congested location and the problem will be sorted by 31st august. Come October this problem is far from over and they are still asking for 1 more month, saying this problem will be over by 30th November. They have been cheating many users like me from past several months. I have 5-6 friends in my college who have same complaints and reliance has done absolutely nothing!!

They did reduce my monthly bill by meager 200 rupees but trust me the reduction in bill is not worth the cost I have to pay. While giving presentations in college and elsewhere the amount of embarrassment to be faced is just not worth it.

Day before yesterday I spoke to their Supervisor-HSD Dept, Mr Prashant, and asked to cancel the connection and deduce the amount for data card for the time I have used and return the money for the 7 month period left, but they are refusing to do so. Also they have refused to reduce the bill any further than Rs 200, even when the avg net speed that they accept they are providing is 8kbps which is a fraction of what they are promising even today and selling their datacard to many other consumers today. The reasons they say is there are lot o[censored]sers in Mumbai! As if they didn't anticipate this. Ofcourse other broadband service providers like Tata and MTS have realized this problem, but for Reliance this is no big a deal. They have been fooling customers for years now.

I want to get rid from this menance and want my money back. I request you to kindly take the appropriate action at the earliest.

Name: Ravi Ramchandani.
Same is happening in kanpur (U.P).
The signal goes and comes. Reliance on complaining say that there is network problem and technitions are looking into improving signal.
Regarding speed they have reduced it since last 2 months. Providing max speed of 144 kbps which also is not achievable. DO YOU CALL 144 kbps BROADBAND ??
