[Resolved]  Reliance CDMA connection — Not converting from CDMA to GSM

SUB: Porting of mobile no. [protected] from CDMA to GSM of Reliance Communication itself
Dear Sir,
I am platinum costumer of Reliance Communication Company having mobile no. [protected] since 2005 under CDMA scheme. On being provided the facility of porting by your Authority that the number will remain the same if you are opting for porting. Reliance Communication Company is contacted to convert my telephone into GSM scheme, but in spite of repeated requests the same is not being done by said organization.
The related facts are given here under to request your esteemed Authority to look into the matter and to get the compliance of your instructions made:-

1) As per my understanding the porting facility should be made available with in a period 72 hours as per your directions. However the company suggested that it takes about 7 days for adhering the porting request, but in my case the same has not been done in almost a month’s time.

2) First time porting request was passed to the Company by code no. –RW278568 on 5.04.2011 at 5.34.13 PM which was valid up to 20.04.2011. The representative of the company informed me that due to certain fault at their part the request was not accommodated and requested me to send second porting request.

3) On their request on 21.04 2011 at 6:20:43 PM the second porting request was made by code no –RW319289 valid till 06.05.2011.

4) On 22.04.2011 Miss Richa from Reliance communication Lucknow called me at 12.30 PM from telephone no.[protected] to confirm my porting request which was duly confirmed by me and she was also informed that earlier porting request made on 05.04.2011 vide code no. –RW278568 has not been met because of certain fault at Reliance Communication system and she assured me that the porting will positively be done by 28.04.2011.

5) On 23.04.2011 at 12.10PM from local telephone no[protected] Miss Neha from local Reliance Communication Office called me to confirm about the porting from CDMA to GSM of Reliance Communication Company itself and I also conveyed my concern and inconvenience caused to me. She again assured me that positively by 28.04.2011 the porting from CDMA to GSM of Reliance communication will be done.

6) On putting the request for the first time for porting from CDMA to GSM even sim card was provided to me on payment of Rs. 100.00 for the cost of card and I on that basis invested in new telephone and bought GSM telephone which is lying idle because of not converting in to GSM from CDMA.

7) I am a practicing Chartered Accountant and my present telephone is in such a bad shape that professional and personal calls are not properly connected which is causing irreparable loss of the professional services and personal reputation which can not be equated in monetary terms.

8) Till this date i.e. 02.05.2011 the porting of my telephone number [protected] is not completed and loss of reputation and professional services are swelling up every day. I do not know the reason of their not porting my connection from CDMA to GSM. I would have appreciated if they would have lost their costumers and they were acting in such a manner, if the porting was demanded to other communication services, though the same would have also tantamount to be illegal and was denying your Esteemed Authority directions.

9) All these facts would clearly reveal that the Reliance Communication Company does not have any regard for the Authority of your Stature and they are acting against law and instruction and direction provided by your esteemed Authority are not complied with.

I am left with no other alternatives except to approach you humbly and request your esteemed Authority that in view of all facts my porting from CDMA to GSM be assured as soon as possible for which I shall ever remain grateful to your Esteemed Authority.
