[Resolved] SBI Bank — account transfer | |||
Dear sir/madam, This is to bring to your notice that I am willing to transfer my SBI savings account from Rourkela NIT branch to any of the Bangalore branches. But on inquiring in a couple of branches in Bangalore, I came across many unfriendly Branch Managers who not only deny to proceed with transfer but also asked me to return back to Rourkela and give a transfer application in person to the manager there. Since, I no more visit the place and the last time I visited was 6yrs back, I wont be able to go there and do the formalities myself. I requested the manager in Bangalore branch to get this transfer done internally with in the bank, but the managers were very rude and unfriendly. I am not sure if after all this, I will go ahead with transfer of account or to close the account forever. For closing of the account also, I was told to go to Rourkela branch and get it done. So basically, I cannot take my money out nor transfer the account. Please help and suggest what to do to get this done. Is there any grievance redressal unit in SBI or RBI where we can lodge complaints. PS:-My ATM has been deactivated as well. If for all the problems we need to go to the case branch, then what is the point in declaring SBI under CBS scheme. It still follows the age old procedures unlike the modernised banks like ICICI/HDFC/UCO bank. Was this information helpful? | |||
