i had purchased a sony viao laptop costing near about 45000. after few months of purcahse, one day suddenly when i switched on the laptop, it screen displayed wierd things(white screen with lines and a black spot at the corner). i took it to the sony service center where they told me that the lapto's TFT has got damaged and needs to be replaced by a new one. the laptop is STILL IN WARRANTY period but the sony service center people are asking for rs 14000 for repair. they say that TFT has been damged due to pressure applied at the corner of the laptop while opening it . i dont understand how a girl like me can apply so much pressure that it can break laptop's screen TFT. AND THE MOST ASTONISHING THING IS THAT LAPTOP SCREEN GLASS IS COMPLETLY INTACT AND DOES NOT HAS EVEN A SCRATCH, THEN HOW CAN TFT THAT IS BEHIND THE GLASS BE BROKEN BY THE USER.
THE FACT IS THAT SONY HAS SUPPLIED A VERY POOR QUALITY LAPTOP AND THEY ARE NOT TAKING RESPOSIBILITY FOR IT.

it is very sad to know that your high profile company provides such low quality laptops that their LCD screen break under normal daily usage of the laptops. I have HP laptop too have been using it since 3 and half years and never faced any kind of problems with it. i purchased sony laptop thiking that its a good and resposible company providing higest quality products. the laptop had latest technology like 8gb expandable RAM but i didnt realise it was compromising on product quality. If your comany doesnot accepts my laptop for repair without any cost within a week, then i am forced to take leagal action in consumer court and to suggest everyone never to buy sony products
