Sony Ericsson — Pathetic Customer Service

An Interesting marriage of Sony Ericsson amd Salora is good enough to ensure that its mobile phone cutomers in India go through the worst kind of customer support harassment.

I gave my phone(W910i) to Salora (complaint ID-SES08BR225810 dt 11/09), who keep it for a month and half and then return a DEAD PHONE to me (complaint ID SES08BR227858). The returned set then dies again with in 24 hours(however they are on long break for Diwali) and I need to give it back again (SES08BR228257), where they again keep it for a week before deciding that the mother board need to be replaced again.

The beauty is, I gave the phone to get the front cover changed and SALORA in its extreme wisdom changed the motherboard to return a dead phone which was heating as if it had to go to moon. I give it back only to get a phone which starts stutters and shuts- didn't know SONY employs DOCTORS for service centers who give gradual resuscitation. AND YES I HAVE ALSO SPENT 1800 Rs travelling to and fro from their esteemed service centers as their outposts plainly refuse to take sets which are beyond them.

I am resigned to the fact that they would again give me set which would just make sure that it keeps alive till the warranty date or worse die even before. But they would not admit that they have actally harassed me enough by keeping it for over two months now, with repaeated call backs which are virtually imposssible to get and visit to their center and wasting time. I want them to replace the set as i have NO confidence in them and their service.

Anyways, Three Cheers to a Pathetic company.

Sony Ericsson — Pathetic Customer Service

About 20 days back I started facing problems with my sony erricson xperia x10i. The phone refused to read the sim card.

So on 14 may, 2011, I took the phone to their service center in dadar, mumbai to show my phone. I was met by a person called anand who informed me that they will have to check the phone before they can take it in for repairs and I was asked to return in an hour. After a hour I was told that the phones motherboard has crashed and has to be sent to chennai for 15 days. I was also informed that they had deleted all my phones data without informing me or creating a back up for it.

I call them after 18 days to know when I can come and collect the phone and I am told that it will take another 7 days at least and that too they not sure about it and the reason for delay is that the phone has gone to chennai.

My question now is how long does a phone take to go and come from chennai and how long does it take SONY ERRICSON to replace the motherboard. FYI samsung replaced the motherboard for my other phone in 2 DAYS. I also have the required documentation for that to show how efficient Samsung if required.

I have repeteadly called their helpline, service center and also have written emails to them but apparantly they have no time to respond to emails or check on the delays.
