[Resolved]  Sony Ericsson K850i — complaint against faults in mobile set (k850i) and asking for compensation + swapping with new mobile set.

Subject: - complaint against faults in mobile set (k850i) and asking for compensation + swapping with new mobile set.


I was the loyal customer of Sony Ericsson, purchased a mobile set (Sony Ericsson k850i) from THE MOBILE STORE, invoice number DEL/01070/00001/8930, dated[protected].

After 15 days the mobile set stated giving the trouble in touch buttons, and then I submitted my mobile set to your customer care centre named as VIBRA TEC located at East Patel Nagar, new delhi-110008 on[protected], the complaint id was SES08VIB-10072. They swapped my mobile set after one month on[protected].

After some time my mobile set again started giving trouble to me as display problem, then I again submitted it to same customer care centre (as above mentioned) on[protected], the complaint id was SES08VIB-11771. They again swapped my mobile set on[protected]. They delivered it in 6 days because of daily reminders by me to them as well as head office of Sony Ericsson.

This was not enough, the mobile set was again started giving the problem in touch buttons with week network problem, and again I follow the same wizard as mentioned above. This time they refuse to register online complaint. After the quarrel with customer care executive who was there in VIBRA TEC (He is also the head of that customer care centre). Then he took my mobile set on behalf of manual job sheet (attached), on[protected]. They gave back my mobile set after repairing, in 20 days, with lots of scratches on the body of mobile set which was not there previously.

Now its more than enough. Mobile set has again started giving the display problem with week network as well as trouble in touch keys.

Now I request you to swap my mobile set with new mobile along with extended warranty as well as compensation of Rs. 50, 000.00(Rupees fifty thousand). As the loss which I incurred in business and mental torment due to these above problems.

If you do not fulfill my above requirements then I will suit the case against you in consumer court.

I Deepak Bhanwala, Advocate, Ch No. 299, Lawyers Chamber, Block-II, Delhi High Court, New Delhi -110003, do hereby request your good office to do the needful in the below mentioned case.

1. That on 11.12. 2008 my real brother Amit had purchased one mobile handset bearing IMEI No[protected]S352461-8, from Branch Salora Retail Venture Ltd, Sony Ericsson(Rohini) G-4, Aggarwal City Plaza, Distt- Centre Rohini. Sec-3, New Delhi, Vide Bill No. SAC[protected] dated 11.12.2008.

2. That from the very first day of purchase of the above said mobile handset, it has hanging problem. Thus on 20.01.2009 my brother Amit got the same repaired from Salora International Ltd, Vardhaman Complex First Floor, Phase-II, Opposite Civil Hospital, Delhi Road Sonipat Haryana-131001 but the hanging problem remained the same.

3. That again on 13.04.2009, the handset was placed for solving of hanging problem but this time also the problem remained unsolved.

4. That on 11.06.2009 the handset was further placed for repair at Telecom System, Shop No-143-145 Shiva Market Pitampura, Delhi, but this time again the problem remained unsolved.

5. That after running from pillar to post the handset is still remaining under problem and it is hanging all the time when receiving or making outgoing calls.

6. That I alongwith my real brother have visited personally at your above mentioned authorized service places of your company but no one could solve the problem of the above said mobile handset and finally we were advised to send this email.

7. It is pertinent to mention here that the abovesaid handset has been gifted to me by my real brother Amit and it is being used by me.

8. That due to the hanging problem of the said handset we have already got huge loss of business.

Therefore, it is to request you to kindly arrange to get it replaced, rather than asking me to get it repaired, within 15 days of receiving this communication. Failing, which I will be forced to go to consumer court to take legal action against your organization. Look forward to an early and affirmative response.

i m also gng through the same problem i have purchsed a sony ericsson s-302 hand set in the month of march n after 2 n half month technical defcts started for which i submitted to the service centre but still they have nt reparied my set for which now i have moved to the consumer forum n i will suggest a new cusotmer nt to buy a sony ericosson set thats all

sonyericsson k 850i — no original casing available?

i am using a Sony ericsson k 850i model phone which is 1 year in usage.The phone casing is really in scratched condition.I have visited many stores and service center and they could not help me out .any body knows where i can buy original silver casing for k 850i?
I Agree to what you I have also encountered a very poor experience of the after sales service. I purchased Sony Ericsson X10 MINI Pro, the problem with my phone was, within 10 mnths of my purchase the speaker got totally damaged, after constant follow up I received my phone after 1month and now to my notice what I come up with is, apart from the speaker problem they have damaged it's functioning, now I cannot receive my call nor can I disconnect it, sometimes the display comes and when a call comes it goes off, I fail to respond my calls and on top of that they have also damaged my QWERTY key pad, it has stopped functioning. This time I would be asking them to repair it thoroughly and thereafter if I again notice negligence in their service I will definitely be seeking the help of Consumer Forum.Thanks Ritwika
