[Resolved] Sony — Poor services and pathetic attitude | |||
I was gifted by my relative, a Sony TV Model No. SW21M83 (S. No. 6240948) that was purchased on dated[protected]. We have valid warranty card with the purchase date mention on it. As this was a gift so we don't have bill for the same. Now there is a minor problem in the TV that the speakers are not sometimes working properly whereas woofer is working fine. We lodged a complaint to Sony India on date[protected] with complaint no. 5548555. The executive from "Raj Service Centre, Karnal (Haryana) Visited at our site and took out a card for repair at his site and committed to be fitted back with in the next day. There after I didn't get any response from Sony regarding the same. After one week when I followed up I came to know that this is not covered in warranty as we didn't have invoice. Then I talked to Mr. Viraj (Head of Raj Service Centre, Karnal) and Mr. Sumit Saini (Manager Sony Service Centre Gurgaon) and tried to explain that the warranty card is equally valid document and is accepted by every company and has been accepted by LG and Samsung of which we have other products. I am still not able to come out of the shock of the way Mr. Saini responded. His word-to-word response was "I don't know about others but this is our style of working and in future, you may buy their products for better services". He clearly indicated that I can do whatever I want, but he will not consider the warranty. He also refused to give me the email address and the contacts of the higher authorities. From the above incident and response, it looks that Sony is having enough revenues and is no more bothered about the customer satisfaction or the above person intentionally wants to spoil Sony's image. But in today's competitive market, I doubt this type of pathetic attitude can sustain for a longer period and can definitely hit any giant and reputed company. This is not the only product of Sony I am using. I also have SONY Camcorder, Sony Camera's, Sony Music Systems, Sony TV from last ten years but didn't face any problem with that device. This is first time I used after sales services and faced this issue. I could find only your contact on internet, so sending my concern to you. Can you please look into the matter or forward to the appropriate authority, as I am tired of following up with the service team and convincing about my situation.
