I have purchased C510 mobile from HotSpot Retails Ltd (c-134/B Sectore-61 Noida 201301,UP).After 3months i was facing the problem in the display, screen is divided into two parts then i visited the Sony authorized center for the problem that they were said me that mobile software is not working properly so we need to update mobile software, they updated and problem was resolved for few days. but again we are facing same problem
so we again visit to Sony authorized service center in Noida(Neeru Enterprises, P-21,
KFC Basement, Sector-18,Noida).my work order number is SE[protected] and My Phone is in Warranty period .
they took 100/- rupees from me for service and said we inform you total charges required
to repair your phone. So they called me and Service center people are saying that you have to pay 1950/-Rupees
to get it repaired .

    Dear Sir,

    I and my collegues have purchased your Sonyerisson mobile model W205 each one. When we purchased, the shopkeeper told that this mobile is having GPRS facility and it can be connected with PC with suitable PC suite using USB cable. We downloaded the PC suite from internet and we bought the recommended USB cable DCU-45 also. We downloaded the dialup facility from our Airtel network. When we connect this mobile to computer using USB cable, the display will be : "File transfer". It has not changed to phone mode to work as modem. We took this mobiles to the nearest service center, Krishna Cell service,Erode and they told that this mobile doest not have the facility to work as modem. We cannot use this mobile as modem using PC-suite. We shocked by hearing this statement. Because we bought the 2 nos of this model for browsing the internet using GPRS as well as with PC suite.

    1. can we use this model as Modem in PC with suitable pc-suite?
    2. If can, what is it pc-suite software?
    3. And what should we change in the mobile setting?

    i bought sony erricson w 205 on 01/05/2011 from Baoji Communication .the day i bought the ph the phone is giving me lots of problem 1) The ph does not show inbox msgs 2) msgs do not get deleted 3) without any data memory card shows full 4) phone switches of frequently its not even 2 months .Sony errcison people are cheats the cost of this phone is rs 3500.

      I AM USING SONY ERICSSON AINO,WORKING FINE.BUT THERE IS ONE PROBLEM THAT, I AM NOT ABLE TO CHARGE MY AINO THROUGH ITS ORIGINAL CHARGER BUT WHEN CONNECTED VIA USB CABLE TO PC ITS CHARGING.       SONY ERICSSON AINO — Theft

      Loss of Mobile Phone (SONY Ericsson Aino IMEI No.[protected], Mobile No.[protected])..I was travelling by my Car (KA-14 8727) on Old Madras Road, Bangalore on 21.09.2010 near KR Puram Rlway Station. An unknown person asked for directions. After giving direction, I resumed and I saw that my mobile phone next to me in the next seat is missing. As it was heavy traffic area, some how i managed to park my vehicle and searched for the person, but i could not find him. Soon after i lodged complaint in Krishnaraja Puram Police Station and got the acknowledgment. Police authority informed me that if not traced, they will issue Non Traceable Certificate after 2 days. Once i received the same, i will furnish all details to your kind authority. I got the duplicate sim.

IMMEDIATELY I RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION IN MY MOBILE FROM MY BANK THE AMOUNT IS DEBITED, AND ALSO A SMDS IN MY MOBILE FROM INDIAPLAZA MENTIONING TANKINK YOU FOR THE ORDER. BUT WHEN I ENTER THE INDIAPLAZA WEBSITE USING MY USERID, IT SAYS, THE ORDER IS CANCELLED. THERE IS NO EMAIL ID TO CONTACT INDIAPLAZA. ANY EMAIL ID IS A CHEAT THAT ALWAYS RETURNS BACK. I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THE INDIA PLAZA WITHOUT ANY NAME, MENTIONING THE AMOUNT WOULD BE REFUNDED. ANYONE WHO ORDERS THROUGH INDIA PLAZA WOULD BE CHEATED. I DO NOT KNOW IF THERE IS ANY GOOD IN REGISTERING THIS COMPLAINT IN THIS WEBSITE. WHEN WILL THIS INDIAPLAZA WOULD SHUTDOWN WHO IS CHEATING MONEY. WHO IS GOING TO TAKE ACTION. HOWTO TAKE ACTION.           dear sir,
          I K.Venkata ramani purchased sonyericsson mobile model T715 from VAIBHAV ENTERPRICES,Himayatnagar.on 06/03/10 vide invoice no:803996.
          ON 28/03/10 display lost we on 29/03/10 we rushed to near by service center SREETEL complaint receipt no:2358 he asked us to come after 3 hours it will be rectified, but after 3hours when we cheked in service center it was on and took back and we replaced our sim again the same problem,we went again to complaint the person irresponsibly throud our mobile and said us to getout and complaint where ever you like we wont repair your mobile,so i went near by police station and complained about the situation the cops came and asked them to come P.Station but on several request wetook our complaint back and he promise us that he replace new handset wehanded over the set,after so many requests he gave back telling that new hand set 0n 1 April 2010 2;27pm work order num;se310st110478,IMEI/serial no;[protected] fault code 16-HW part defective,10-ship ti/escalate,16-HW part defective 11-swap handling but from last 2 months loosing memory from phone and camera not working at all.

            I have purchased this mobile s-312 , Rs. 5,150/- at andheri Shop on dt.12/06/2010 and next day have a little liquide damage, now it is not working.I have given it for repair at Sony authorised servicecenter. Service center people are saying motherboard is totaly Damage that you have to pay 4500/-Rupees to get it repaired & Costomer service charges RS. 150/-
            My Phone is in Warranty 1 year period
            This product is having lots of problem since from the day it has been launched. Pleas give us any solution for this matter becuase handset is Rs. 5150/- & its service charges 4500/- plus Rs. 150/- its to high. what i can do legal action please tell me.

              Sub: Regarding poor quality of service provided to the Vaio Laptops under Warranty.



              I have the following complaints:



              1. That I have purchased VAIO notebook model No. VPCCW12EN bearing serial no.[protected] from UNIQUE INFOWAYS (P) LTD. Nehru Place , New Delhi on 23.12.2009



              2. That I was observing white spot on the LCD of Laptop, and when I took the laptop on 02/06/2010 to the Authorized Service Centre of Sony at Allahabad U.P. i.e. CARE & CARE, I have been informed by the Service Engineer that one Pixel of LCD is dead and the LCD will be replaced.



              3. That on 04/06/2010 I have taken the Laptop back from the Service Centre. I observed that the colors on the LCD were not the same as earlier. I tried to calibrate the colors but haven’t been successful. The colors tend to remain the same after restarting the system.

              4. That the Authorized Service Centre of Sony at Allahabad U.P. i.e. CARE & CARE, was then under renovation so I didn’t received any help from them till 22/06/10.



              5. That on 23/06/10, I again took the laptop to the service centre where the service engineer failed to solve the problem of colors and color calibration.





              6. That I deposited the laptop with the service centre having Job Information No. CCA169 dated 24/06/2010 and on inquiring on the 24/06/10, the service engineer said that there is some problem with the replaced LCD. he said that on connecting the laptop with a different LCD, the colors were as they should be

              with the VAIO laptops.



              7. That I didn’t take the possession of the laptop. The service centre at Allahabad has sent the laptop to the Lucknow service centre for further rectification. Service engineer at Lucknow said that there is no problem with the laptop and that I m unnecessarily bothering the service centre people. The views of the service engineers at Lucknow and Allahabad seem to differ on the same issues of colors. And if there was no problem then why did the service centre at Allahabad sent it to Lucknow service centre.



              8. That my laptop is still in possession of your service center at Lucknow and no concrete reply has still came from your people.



              9. That your service head person at Lucknow has been calling me since Friday the 25/06/10 ,who is having the possession of my said laptop, and saying that there is no problem in your laptop and its that unnecessarily I am bothering the service centre persons. In contrast your service centre people at Allahabad are saying that there is some problem with the replaced LCD.



              10. That upon calibrating the colors in the laptop, the colors tends to just stay till the time of restarting the system and returns to the original state as it was before calibrating the colors.



              11. That your service centre person at lucknow called me again on the 28/06/10 at 10.55 am to take permission to start recovery in the said laptop but didn’t even called me till 29/06/10 until I called him at 8.28pm to ask as to what has happened after starting the recovery in the laptop. It seems as if I have given the laptop for some research and development purpose.



              12. That the yellowish shades in the videos appear grayish on the LCD. Upon reiterating this point to your service centre person at Lucknow , he is saying there is still no problem with the laptop.



              13. That if you continue giving such service to your customers, it may happen that the customers will loose the possession of the product because it will be with your service centre for most of the time as in my case.



              14. That it shows the ability of your service people which you have installed at various places calling them as service centers where two people differ on the same issue. As in my case where your people at Allahabad and Lucknow service centers are differing on the same issue causing the harassment of the Customer. And Sony being a multinational brand, this is not expected from your people.



              15. That if the problem arising in the Laptop will be not be resolved at earliest then I will have alternative except to take the Legal recourse against Sony India, and you will be also saddled with the cost of the Litigation.



              I therefore request you to kindly do the needful in the matter immediately so that the matter be resolved.

              this mail is in reference to the service provided by the SONY INDIA to me at ALLAHABAD

              I have the folowing compalints :



              1) That i have purchased a sony laptop on 23/12/2009 model-VPCCW12EN having serial no.[protected] and the month of june 2010,one pixel on the LCD screen got dead for which the sony service center which is CARE AND CARE -ALLAHABAD has given me replacement for the faulty LCD.

              But after the repalcement of the LCD,I am not getting the same color features for which i have mailed you earliar.

              2) That your sercive center here in allahabad reamained closed for almost 15 days because of renovation aggravating the problem of quick service.

              3) That on taking the laptop to your service center, the people there have failed to give me service for which the Job and Log information is as:CCA169 dated 24/06/10.

              4)That your service center people will now send the laptop to your head office in Lucknow on the 26/06/10 which means further delay in your service.

              5)That on inquiring with the service center people, they said that there might be some other problem might be on the mother board but when i have given the laptop for the first time to your service center people the only problem was with the dead pixel on the screen.



              Kindly take immediate action so that i get the best service of your product.

              Hi, I purchased my sony bravia LCD TV Model no BRAVIA - KLV-32 NX500IN5-SOI-1013689 ON DATED 6TH OCTOBER 2010. I found problem in TV and susequently lodged complaint on 20 th april 2011 with a complaint no. 7388844. the next day your technician inspected my TV and told us that some part is defective and will have to be brought from Singapore. From then and now my complaint has not been resolved. I wanted to know exact date when my issue will be resolved. If a company like Sony will take so much time then what to talk of others. This issue is affecting the credentials of SONY. I request you people to resolve my complaint without delay.

                I bought a Sony Ericsson J105i on 31-01-10 from Mobile Store Hajra,Kolkata-26.IMEI No.[protected].from the 3rd week of June'10 problem in my speaker started as a result the call receiver on the other end could hear nothing or very low.I submitted my handset at Sony Ericsson's service centre at Poddar court on[protected]work order no.SE310ATS11707) after repeated follow ups with Sony's customer care centre at Gurgaon and two of Sony's service centres at poddar court & 2 Ripon Street at Kolkata I was informed from Ripon Street on 25-06-10 that my hand set has been repaired and I can take my delivery from Poddar court on 26th.However even after taking the delivery on 26th the same problem persists proving that virtually no repair has been done.After helding up my phone for 5 days they are giving the phone back in same old condition.
                I want a redressal of my harassment.

                  I bought a Sony Ericsson K330 mobile.It is under guarantee till now.My mobile has many problems.There is very weak signal gain,it hangs frequently,messages are not being sent irrespective of network coverage.I serviced my mobile in your service center for five times within 8 months.Eventhough the problems are not rectified fully.I am not satisfied with this product and your service.They are not responding positively.

                  This is making me annoyed.So I need for the replacement of the mobile immediately.

                  We are enclosing here with copy of invoice no: SI/BVK/38618 dated 27/11/09 of M/S Ridhi sidhi mobiles & copy of YOUR WORK ORDER BEARING NO: SE310NU111872 dated 4/03/2010.
                  Please note the mobile set indicated above, is under warranty which is clear from the Purchase Invoice.
                  Also refer your work order for the service done by you, when the set was presented to you (please refer copy of work order enclosed). According to your work order you have upgraded the software & delivered the set to us claiming the set was absolutely free of any defect.
                  Today I am presenting this mobile set again to you ,since the same defect of switching off frequently has got continued, even after your above said rectification.

                  We are claiming the SET as defective & REQUIRES Replacement on fallowing grounds.
                  We noticed, the set had this defect viz. Switching off frequently on its own, immediately after we purchased this mobile hand set.
                  We called on the dealer, who advised us to use for a while and if the complaint is persistent, take it to Sony Service Centre.
                  Accordingly the set was given to you for rectification.
                  You indicated a Software Problem and said it would be ready after two days. The same was collected by us.
                  Now I& you clearly understand that once you rectify the defect, you are supposed to check all aspects so that the set is defect free.
                  And once you deliver the set it is supposed to be free of all defects.
                  Now how is that, the same defect is existing still and this proves beyond doubt that THIS SET IS A DEFECTIVE ONE AND YOU WOULD BE DOING ONLY POST MARTEM ON IT, IF YOU SAY THAT YOU WILL RECTIFY.
                  Any such rectification would be FUTILE & YOU WOULD MAKE ME VISIT YOU N NUMBER OF TIMES.
                  I have established clearly my point that this set is DEFECTIVE AND REQUIRES REPLACEMENT.
                  HENCE I ASK YOU TO RECOMOND TO THE DEALER TO ISSUE A REPLACEMENT MOBILE HAND SET IN LIEU OF THE DEFECTIVE SET SUPPLIED BY HIM ON PRIORITY. This is in accordance with company manual on warranty.
                  IF THIS IS NOT SUFFICIENT GROUND FOR YOU TO DECLARE AND ADVISE REPLACEMENT,
                  THEN I AM SORRY, YOU ARE COMPELLING ME TO SEEK DIRECTIONS FROM THE CONSUMER FORUM, AS I AM NOT READY TO RUN TO YOUR SERVICE CENTRE EVEN IN WARRANTY PERIOD LET ALONE AFTER WARRANTY, FOR HAVING KEPT YOUR DEFECTIVE HAND SET AND ALAS FOR HAVING BOUGHT IT IN FIRST PLACE.
                  THIS LETTER I AM ISSUING FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE ACTION AND RECOMONDATION FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE MOBILE HAND SET REFFERED ABOVE AND I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND THIS LETTER, TO ACT ACCORDINGLY.
                  I ask you to acknowledge THIS LETTER and advise me on your action towards above claimed REPLACEMENT OF MOBILE HAND SET.

                    i am owner of a sonyericsson cell phone. recently my cellphone was damaged due to liquid.
                    it was just 1 month old.
                    The SONYERICSSON service center {address:- OPERA ELECTRONICS PVT LTD, 118, Elliot Road, Near mullick bazar.- tel ph=[protected]}
                    they told me i am not getting any warranty . i agreed with them and gave the phone for repair.
                    after two days they told me estimated amount of rs:1702.
                    as minor parts was damaged but the phone was working before submition.
                    when they delivered after two days....i paid and again after two days the same problem of keypad problem and speaker problem occoured and when within 15 days i re submited the phone to them and called after two weeks...they are saying that they wont b able to rectify the problem and would return the set and also complained about a second time liquid damage.
                    the phone is becoming more problematic as it was from the begining just before i submited the phone.
                    please take due steps.

                          i just want to say that im 15 years old and i just bought my new first sony VAIO laptop model VPCEA15FA/W WHITE and after two and a half weeks it suddenly hang up! from the beginning it was so slow to turn on and off. Yesterday night june 22, 2010 I send it back to where i bought it and they said that they would fix it because the laptop itself has a defect. i just want to say that I'm very disappointed on your SONY VAIO laptop brand.

                            i purchased a sony vaio laptop model number eb16. From the day of purchase their was a fault in the speakers. i went to sony custamer service to replace the same... they took about one amonth for it as response by them was very slow and neglecting. im not satisfied with the service.. though after a span of so many days they have changed but its same problem occuring now as well......I WANT THE COMPANY TO TAKE A SERIOUS ACTION. i want a replace of my model..... do revert back

                            I do have the same problem with the same model, i bought it from chennai. After a week, the left speaker konked, i got it replaced, but the speakers are not upto the mark, the clarity is much below par when compared to other laptops. A few execs are blaming it on the VLC player. I think if thts the case, sony should own up, and put a legal statement saying that VLC is faulty. Please do take this seriously as we have piut our hard earned money on this.

                                i had purchased a sony viao laptop costing near about 45000. after few months of purcahse, one day suddenly when i switched on the laptop, it screen displayed wierd things(white screen with lines and a black spot at the corner). i took it to the sony service center where they told me that the lapto's TFT has got damaged and needs to be replaced by a new one. the laptop is STILL IN WARRANTY period but the sony service center people are asking for rs 14000 for repair. they say that TFT has been damged due to pressure applied at the corner of the laptop while opening it . i dont understand how a girl like me can apply so much pressure that it can break laptop's screen TFT. AND THE MOST ASTONISHING THING IS THAT LAPTOP SCREEN GLASS IS COMPLETLY INTACT AND DOES NOT HAS EVEN A SCRATCH, THEN HOW CAN TFT THAT IS BEHIND THE GLASS BE BROKEN BY THE USER.

                                THE FACT IS THAT SONY HAS SUPPLIED A VERY POOR QUALITY LAPTOP AND THEY ARE NOT TAKING RESPOSIBILITY FOR IT.

                                MY 45000 RS HAV GOT WASTED AS AM UNABLE TO USE THE LAPTOP WITHOUT ITS DISPLAY

                                it is very sad to know that your high profile company provides such low quality laptops that their LCD screen break under normal daily usage of the laptops. I have HP laptop too have been using it since 3 and half years and never faced any kind of problems with it. i purchased sony laptop thiking that its a good and resposible company providing higest quality products. the laptop had latest technology like 8gb expandable RAM but i didnt realise it was compromising on product quality. If your comany doesnot accepts my laptop for repair without any cost within a week, then i am forced to take leagal action in consumer court and to suggest everyone never to buy sony products

                                  I was a customer of SONY for the past 15+ years. In 2008 December, I bought a 32" Bravia S Series LCD TV for Rs. 36000, primarily for the use of my parents. I was more than happy till last month since it started developing problems like switching off automatically. I contacted the SONY service center and the technician came, checked and advised to replace the faulty board for Rs. 5600. After 1 week my TV started behaving weird again. I contacted the same service center and they came in, inspected and discovered that the LCD panel is gone and needs to be replaced for Rs. 16000.
                                  Now I realize that I already spend Rs. 36000 + Rs.5600 for a disposable TV - which worked for just 17 months and again spend 16K more ??? I bought this TV just thinking that the product quality is superior to others in the market and will last for a longer period. I wonder what product quality is SONY maintaining to cope up with the Indian conditions? If the voltage fluctuation is a problem in India, why cant SONY have the intelligence built to cope up with this kind of surges?

                                  Thank you very much for the response. Well I sent an Email to SONY's official customer care center as well and in the mean time, I got a favourable response from the Service center in Thiruvalla. They took up this matter with their higher ups and thank God and to to SONY's management, its fixed. Appreciate the help extended by the service center in fixing this at no extra cost.
                                  BTW, I agree to the fact that this issue might have happened because of the voltage fluctuations. As a customer, this was one of the reasons why I went for SONY avoiding other competitive products in the market. Voltage fluctuations are common in India and I believe, SONY must have taken care of this aspect while designing the component for this TV. Besides, I have other electronic equipments working properly, linked to the same electricity supply. I strongly feel this issue was a problem due to faulty components from SONY and not solely electricity supply irregularities.
                                  Anyway thanks for the support I received from SONY at this difficult situation.

THEREAFTER HE DISMANTLE THE CTV WHOLE KIT AND ASKED TO DEPOSIT IT TO ABOVE SERVICE CENTRE.ON 29.05.2010 I DEPOSITED COMPLETE KIT TO ABOVE SERVICE CENTRE FOR RECTIFICATION, BUT TILL DATE NEITHER THEY RESPONDED NOT RECTIFIED MY TELEVISION EVEN THOUGH I AND MY WIFE TELEPHONE THEM SEVERAL TIME BUT NO RESPONSE RECEIVED FROM THEM.                                       Hi All and Saurabh,

                                      Even i got the same issue with the phone. First that Stic came off and then a panel on receiver side came off and then issues with touch screen. The mobile never fell from my hands.
                                      So finally i had to spend Rs 1300 to get entire front panel. Its just 3 days now and again the STIC has come off.

                                      What is the need to have a STIC at that place? Its a damm poor design by sony ericson. Really shameful of the company to do this poor designing.

                                      Also when there is no damage to the phone, i believe the panel should be covered under warranty or else consumeers will have to pay for their poor designs.

                                      This is the fourth handset of SE i am using, and say 8th in my family. We buy SE coz of the great music it provides. But when it come to design, we have to think a lot before selecting one.

                                      I have purchased one Sony Erricsson G900 on 23/011/2008, after 2 months i found some problem with this handset, it was getting hang. i had to restart this phone every time. In the month of June this phone was getting problem with the network, Network was not availble in this phone.

                                      I had made several complaints to sony erricsson as well as Airtel for Network Probelm,
                                      On 07 July 09 i have given my mobile to Sony erricsson service centre in Pune ( Accel Frontline service centre) for repairing, as per them this handset have network problem, and have to changed the mother board of this handset. i have given this handset on 07th july (Call no PUN- SE- 297088) for changing mother board. i have visited 15-20 times to their service centre for delivery of my phone, but every time thery are making some excuses for not delivering. I am writing this complaint on 29th Oct 09, But i still have not deliever my handset, it is almost 4 months, i am with out my handset, still they are telling that mother board is in logistic, as soon as will reach, we will changed.

                                      I have got fad up with sony erricsson, i will advice every body , not to buy any sony erricsson handset in future.

                                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                                        This is to bring to your kind attention the regretful state of affairs that I am currently experiencing on account of having purchased a 40GB Playstation-3. The system was purchased in February 2008 from "SONY WORLD" at Park Street (EASTERN CARPETS PVT.LTD. 29 PARK STREET CENTRAL KOLKATA - 700016) in Kolkata with a warranty period of one year. Being an avid gamer, it was after much thought and serious research, that I chose from amongst-
                                        (i)upgrading my Desktop (PC)
                                        (ii) buying an XBOX 360 from Microsoft, and
                                        (iii) buying the Playstation-3 from Sony.

                                        As it turns out, buying the Playstation-3 has been the most illogical thing to do. The system was working fine for a year and a half after which, it ceased functioning abruptly. Thereafter, I have been unable to switch on the system. To add to this, I have been informed by the personnel at the Sony Service Center (32, Hazra Road, Kolkata.) that Playstation-3 is not repaired/serviced in India as matter of policy. Upon enquiring for an alternate solution, I was informed that the system being more than 2 years old, I would, at best be given a 15-20% discount over the retail price on a new replacement. Considering the fact that I bought my system for a price of Rs 25, 000/- and that the new consoles are being sold at a price of Rs 18,000/-(approx), I do not see reason as to why the payment of Rs 14,000/-(approx, after discount) for a replacement is justifiable by any yardstick of imagination.

                                        The matter is even more disheartening due to the fact that I paid a premium over the prevailing black market price at the time of purchase, only due to the fact that I did not want Service/Repair of the console at a later time to be hindered. To show the least amount of responsibility to a customer, the personnel at SONY should have at the very least, bothered to inform me of the Service/Repair Policy of SONY India w.r.t to the Playstation-3, at the time of purchase. Unfortunately for me, the same did not happen. I was assured that all Service/Repair needs will be carried out at the authorised service centers. If the right information had been provided to me, I would have had changed my mind and opted for and XBOX 360 instead.

                                        In effect, after around 1.5 years of having paid Rs 25,000/- to buy a console, I'm left with two options-
                                        (i) buy a replacement for a discounted price of around Rs 14,000/-( more than half of what I had initially paid)
                                        (ii) throw it away since it serves no purpose now.

                                        In view of the above, I fail to understand how Sony India justifies the following statements on its website-

                                        "One of the most recognized brand names in the world today, Sony Corporation, Japan, established its India operations in November 1994, focusing on the sales and marketing of Sony products in the country. In a span of 15 years Sony India has exemplified the quest for excellence in the world of digital lifestyle becoming the country’s foremost consumer electronics brand. With relentless commitment to quality, consistent dedication to customer satisfaction and unparalleled standards of service, Sony India is recognized as a benchmark for new age technology, superior quality, digital concepts and personalized service that has ensured loyal customers and nationwide acclaim in the industry."

                                        As far as I understand, concealing factual information about the true nature of Service/Repair to a customer at the time of purchase and forcing (since there is no other alternative) the customer to "buy" a "replacement" at a discounted price do not appear to be an effort in the direction of " commitment to quality, consistent dedication to customer satisfaction or unparalleled standards of service." At best, it can only be termed as an unethical attempt to force existing customers into buying the same product over and over again whilst not even upgrading the product.

                                        Having made a product as brilliant as the Playstation-3, it is the "after-sale" service from SONY which has left customers like me feeling cheated. I sincerely hope that I have been able to put forth my plight and request you to come up with a viable solution to the problem at the earliest.

                                        Today even I am having to face the same problem. It's very saddening to know that either my console needs to be thrown away or exchange it for a mere 10% discount. Very shameful Sony, it's the worst thing u can do. I[censored] are using such crap materials then lower the console price, and i[censored] wanna charge higher amounts, kindly pay attention to the quality of the product that u use, it's hard earned money, can spend and then re-spend on the same thing, make sense Sony! You are simply wasting the resources, you should be able to repair it, or either increase your warranty. Sony feels crap man!! company, instead buy Nintendo or the Xbox.
                                        I am facing the same problem here. Their response was ridiculous. My ps3 just stopped worked suddenly and now I can't even send it to Sony for repair.
                                        I just faced the same situation. My PS3 is 2.5 years old. Sony doesn't have any support for PS3 but selling it high costs. In my case, it does not read the blue ray discs so cannot play games. They say that lens is weak. I paid 22, 000/- and fell cheated.

                                        Sony should be sued. They are making Indian consumers a complete fool.
                                        I have experienced the same problem for my PS3. My 1st replacement at about Rs 16000.00 has stopped to function in just about 2 years.Now I have been informed that it will take another Rs 11500.00 to get a replacement.Sony is unethically & deliberately forcing its PS3 users to pay for a new replacement by not offering to carry out repairs for even minor issues.What is the guarantee that the replacement product is new but is actually a 2nd hand and repaired piece which has been repacked .Therefore it seems to be new age marketing strategy to make profits even when fresh sales do not take place.It is time for consumer forums/activists to examine this policy of Sony under the restrictive trade practices and seek relief on behalf of large number of avid PS3 fans who have been short changed.
                                        Hi Guys... I am facing the same problem w.r.t. my PS3. Sony India has refused to repair it and they are forcing me to take replacement by paying Rs. 11, 500/-. We all know that PS3 is in last phase of product cycle. It just doesn't make sense to invest additional 11k in product that was launched in 2007. I had written repeated emails to Sony India but they stand firm by their decision. Subsequently I have decided that I will not pay this additional amount and fight for my rights as a consumer.

                                        Having read that the similar problem is being faced by so many o[censored]s, I too feel its time to do something either through Hon'ble Consumer Court or someother platform. But a single person approaching shall not solve the issue. Perhaps if we all can join hands and force Sony India to hear the Voice of the Customers, something might happen.

                                        I request your guidance as to what should be the further course of action.
