[Resolved]  Sony / Xperia S — Replacement, Accessories

I bought a brand new Xperia S on 11th of April, after few days i found yellow spot on its screen, so i went to Sony Service Centre & asked for replacement, they asked me to deposit my cell phone in their centre & gave time of 1 week which took around a month to complete with this process, at tha time also i called up the person in Chennai head office to forward the mail their senior to get my cell phone replaced, anyhow i got repacement done after 1 month & now when o went with the PVN letter to the retailer, he said that he want be able to get me the Phone with those accesories which i got in the starting (Car Charger & NFC Tags)& that was the main reason to buy that phone in the starting, as it was a deal, i didn't spent my 31400 rupees to listen such rubbish things. I want my accessories back.

Sony has made a very bad image now, My previous phone was Xperia Arc, but after these things, i would never prefer for Sony.

Please help me with my requirements.

I am Anand adaikalaraj from trichy.seller shop is poorviga mobiles.I am buy a SONY EXPERIA NEO L at[protected] after 15 th day display is problem so go to your product seller they are give the service center address go and drop my phone at[protected].after service got phone at[protected].then now[protected] t0 touch is problem.mummy is a human rights member go to your seller drop the the phone and ask i want to new mobile.your seller that's not my work give your phone talk to service center if it's possible after we will give a new phone.today your service center content you mobile have touch only problem so we are not give new mobile replace that touch.

i have bought a brand new xperia p (5 months ago). but i have used it only for 20 days. it has a problem in transparent part it occurs a gap in transparent part . i give my handset to service center. after 1 month my handset will replaced with swapped one. after 3 days it will also have the same problem. till now my handset is on process..
very very poor service of sony.
from my experience please never bought a sony phones.

i have bought a Sony xperia tipo 21i2 (3 months ago). but it has a problem. i wan not able to make or receive a calls, other massage shows :- not registered network. i give my handset to service center. on 27 Jan 2012. I still not get my phone back.

I am writing you with the great sorry that i didn't get my phone so far. I am fully irritate with your services. Its been more then 20 days to submitted my mobile in Sony service center.

But your way of services shows that either sony is very poor company, sony doesn't have spare part of the phone to supply to service center or sony just concentrate for selling their product not for customer service.

I have received a defective mobile from sony showroom, it was creating problem from day one.

When i submitted my mobile they make me promise to deliver within 10 days after replacing the defective part, now 20 days has passed away i yet to get the delivery.


I am facing a lots of problem
from my experience please never bought a sony phones.

SONY XPERIA - DIES BEFORE 3 MONTHS and NO ONE IS READY TO REVIVE IT

To whom-so-ever this may concern,

Firstly I would start by saying - I WAS a big fan of Sony .

I had bough the oh-so-tempting ( the Katrina Kaif starrer ) - the great - SONY XPERIA Z on the 19th of May as a birthday gift from my dad . And this was supposed to be the last phone ever to be gifted by my dad. And it has turned out to be an UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT .

The phone refused to charger itself on the 03rd of August '13 . So my dad went to the so-called-authorized -- Service center for getting it checked.

Then I went on the 09th Aug at 11 o'clock to check the status as the toll free no. refused to work. I was told that I will be getting a replaced phone (as sony xperia Z does not get repaired )and was asked to wait 20 min. I waited patiently . After which I was informed that they have to update the OS and that the battery was charging up slowly . I said there is not need for the up gradation - I will do the needful if necessary . She insisted that it was Sony - policy . I grew suspicious - when you buy a new - and if these guys were giving me replaced phone - why did it need up gradation ? But as I had some faith - I let this slide . I was told to come after 3 - 4 hours. I called up again post lunch and was informed that the phone is still not "done" (I don't know what was to be done as it was a new phone ) and that their SERVER was running slow so they could not get it updated. I was assured that the phone will be all ready by 11 o'clock the next day.

I went there and was handed a phone in a brown cardboard box (it had no sony logo or anything on it ) I opened it and was shocked . IT WAS A USED PHONE.
Firstly, it had the front and back scratch guard on with scratches on it . This was supposed to be a replaced phone !!! It wasn't even in a ""boxed piece"" .
Secondly, when the sockets were opened - there was dust and black dirt in them.
Thirdly, THIS WAS CLEARLY NOT A REPLACED PHONE .

The receptionist said this is the "replaced phone" we got from sony - you check the IMEI no.

I went on then to speak to the person in charge. (who was the same person I spoke to who said the phone needed up gradation )

I told him point blank - this is not a replaced phone and I will not accept it. He asked me what makes you feel so ? I pointed out the scratch guard - the dirt - and if it was a new phone what software update was needed and if he could not help me - I needed someone who would. He said he needed to talk to his boss and ask PERMISSION (for what I have no clue about ) . He refused to give his boss's contact no. as he said "that is my duty to contact him" !! I also told him that if this is clearly an unboxed piece even if there is only a handset . There is no plastic covering - no internal cardboard to support it - if it was shipped. How was I to trust him that he is not giving me a replaced phone.

Then he went inside - we waited for 20 minutes. He came out saying - that his boss had "Granted him permission" and that I will have to wait to fr sometime to carry out some formalities. I waited for 35 min . In this time I realized there was not a single OFFICIAL Sony XPERIA logo or anything even relating to sony there - except for 2 flimsy cut outs of Katrina Kaif holding the phone - which looked to be stolen from an Xperia prmotional event. The service center also i think conveniently forgot to mentioned that this was a xperia service center only.

The guy then came out with a form to be filled - believe me this was no regular SONY form - and it had a category mentioned where he had to fill in who the vendor was - that was sony . He then filled the reason for complaint (after taking a good whole minute ) was that there was dust on the phone and network problem. And he asked me to sign it . I asked him what was the " network problem " he then scratched it out. I went out and wrote "dust found on a replaced phone" .

Then I went to ask him whether this was an authorized sony xperia service center - and then it it was a CLOUDBURST ! there were - THIRD PARTY VENDORS.

And then the guy went on rude on me and told me that the HO was in Delhi (which I clearly knew and that was the reason I was coming to him and not going to Delhi) and that they have a contract with Sony and blah blah blah !! At this point he wanted him out of there as there was a huge customer base and obviously did not want them to hear that he was not he OFFICIAL sony Xperia GUY !

I asked when was I supposed to contact back if he could give me an ETA and he lashed out on me and said - don't you know ? it's the same like last time - you must be familiar . I was like excuse me. This is no way of serving a customer - let alone courtesy - he was not even empathetic. To get me out of there he has asked me to contact on the 13th of August.

I have clearly mentioned - I need to see the piece unboxed in front of me. If I am still not satisfied and it does not mark upto the expectation of a new replaced phone - I WILL NOT ACCEPT IT and WILL SEND IT BACK.

To end this all - I really had so much faith in Sony as a brand. My first ever phone was a Sony Ericsson. My first ever Laptop was a Sony . My first ever camera was a sony. Our first ever Television upgrade was a Sony and all of them have given me impeccable customer service - SO WHY NOT WITH SONY XPERIA ?

Should I expect my Rs. 40, 000 to go down the drain ? Should this me my memory of the LAST phone ever gifted to me by my dad !!!

I HOPE NOT.
