Sir,

I would like to draw your kind attention to the bitter experience of mine in applying Passport- under Tatkal Scheme. Twice I was sent back without complete guidance and scrutiny of application. As I am a student I have to forgo each time I am sent back that too in spending long hours in queues.

First time, I got an online appointment to submit the application on 13th March, 2009 at 11.30 a.m., I felt happy that as the time and date is given I need not wait. My experience proved other wise. The person handling the counter was highly discourteous and was shouting at every one. I would like to produce verbatim:

Person at TC : The IFS verification letter you have bought should be in duplicate and there should be copy of his ID card.

Myself : Sir are your sure as uncle (IFS officer) told me this is sufficient.

Person at TC : Then take the passport from him only. Shouting throws the form at me.

Myself: OK sir, would you please check again and tell me if rest of the documentation is correct.

Person at TC: Get a custodian letter also from your principal saying that original tenth confiscates are held with him.

Myself: Would you please check if any other document is required ?
Person at TC : ok ! ok ! rest is alright. Get those two.

I came out noting the requirement.





I have applied again for on line appointment and got the date of 16th March, 09 at 12.15 p.m., (counter TF)

Second time that is today, as I had to skip college again, I attended to day with necessary details well in advance though the appointed time was given to me; I got my chance to meet the official at 3 p.m., only. After waiting for more than 3 long hours and loosing second day in my college, I was shocked to know that I have to produce a joint bank account of me and my father. The official did not spare even a minute to hear me out. All the time It all appeared to me is online appointment is a big farce and the person was highly discourteous. I felt very bad with the experience I had from 11.30 to 3 p.m., I do not even know whether I will be sent back again on some frivolous reason or the other.

As my father has high regards for you and on the process at the advice of my father I did not approach the agents.

I am bringing this to your kind notice that the ground reality should be known to you so that you may take remedial actions.

Secondly, please let me know what I should do next time so that I will not loose out one more college day. (My college insists full attendance and I have lost 4 days till now – 2 days for collecting the documents and 2 days for submitting the same)

I have not get my PAN Card till now . According to the website Status and message (Which you sent me )it has been dispatched on 13th of March 2009. But i haven't get it . Please give me the Courier Details or Post details.

Student — passport not received & do not have file number

Dear Sir/madam

I applied for my passport in May, 2008 (around 10.05.08). I harvinder Singh S/o Ranjeet Singh gill, village 46 "F" po 43 'F" warringa, sri karanpur, disst. sri ganganagar, raj has completed all the documents including my police verification. But the mistake I have done is that I do not have the file number. so I do not know what is the status of my passport. 9470/20.08.08 was the dispatch number at my district office & in my local police station it is 4741/11.08.08. but no file number is with them. kindly up date me as soon as possible.
