[Resolved]  Sun Direct — Poor Service

I subscribed to Sun direct in the month of Apr'09. For seeing paid channels, we need to buy "Currency". As per the sundirect website, they advertised that the currency will be available from Aircel dealer however in reality it is not.

For chosing new paid channels, they provide an option to do the same by login to "www.sundirect.in" through customer login after buying the currency. I bought the currency recently 10 days back. However unable to login for past 10 days.

Customer care number[protected]as per their website www.sundirect.in, is always busy.

I totally dissatisfied with their deficiency in service.

SUN DTH — bad customer service

Hi,

Never seen a worst customer service like this.The toll free number will never be reached ie.it is always busy.

to have a Rs.20 add-on pack you need to call the non-toll free number and wait in the queue for 18 mins, then interact with the executive for 13 mins.so you would have spent Rs.31 for the call itself plus Rs.20 for the addon total Rs.51

Also, they do not have any escalation mechanism for complaints, for eveything u need to call the customer care and you will not get any ref. no. for your complaints other than recharging.

Finally, in case if you plan to shift from 1 house to other you need to pay a hefty price for the service.could be Rs.800 to Rs.900 for a 25mts cable.

At last, I scrapped the SUN DTH and went for a Local cable connection itself which is far beter than the worst supported SUN DTH

I have never heard of anything like a tie-up between Aircel and Sun Direct maybe you should get in touch with other Sun Direct Dealers. I wonder where you got the news from? I haven’t seen any advertising either.

SUN DTH — Poor Service. No Response

My Set Top Box No: C[protected] and SMART CARD Sl No: R[protected]. From 4th may on wards the receiver is not working. It shows E17 input smart card. This problem is persistant and not yet solved. I made a complaint several times through phone and they are unable to give a solution or a service personal contact. The over all service and response of sun direct is very worst. What is the remedy for this problem?
SUN DIRECT IS THE ONLY COMPANY WILL NEVER PAY BILLS FOR THE PAYMENT WE MAID TO THEM.THIS IS CLEAR CASE OF CHEATING THE TAX.GOVT SHOULD TAKE CORRECTIVE ACTION AGAINST THEM .

Sun direct in Delhi is just direct "sun watching" and nothing else..., For last 4 days i have been trying to get a re activation card, oops n then when i finally managed to activate it through online, ...2 days passed after activation, 5 calls to the customer care personnels..., its still "technical problem" what they call it, please guys think 100 times before opting for sun TV dth, worst service providers, worst dealers and worst consumer care response

Even i have SUN DTH... Very often i get E36 error... i wont get Channels prop... If i have to watch, i have to switch on the STB half an hour prior... After half an hour only channels comes, , , Recently i dont get Audio from STB. i have tried with AV pins with TV, S/Video in sys and RFC in sys... nothing works... I ve complained them... No response... they provide very very very poor POST SALES customer service...It may be less price than others but not worth... I suggest u not to buy Sun DTH it i[censored] want quality...

My Smart card No. is [protected]R. I am from Dehradun. I have taken the conection on 15th July 2009.First three months free offer was there. But I have recherged on 17th October 2009 by Rs.130.
Very next day I was not getting any chanel to see. May be any technical fault was there, and gave a complain to Customer Care Dated 18th October and No. was [protected]. But no action was taken by the company. Again I complained on 25th October 2009 and No. was [protected]. But after that no action taken by the Company. And third time I have complained on 18th November 2009 and the complain No. was[protected]. And I informed them that for their poor service I would not be able to continue with SUN DIRECT. Then mechanic came on 21st November 2009, and solved the problem.
But my complain is that I have recherged with Rs. 130 , I have not enjoyed the chanels whole month and the company has deducted the whole amont. How is it possible? Because it was their fault. And secondly the mechanic took Rs.200 for providing the service. But has not given any bill.

Sun Direct DTH — no person available for service

I have purchased sundirect dth in the month of may 2009 for one year schme paid total 2250 rs.The agent has fooled us he had paid only 500 rs as suscription fee and the other 500 rs he had taken to home.
Now we are not getting any signal we went two three times to the agent but there is no response from him.after two weeks now we are taken the cable connection. we had lost a huge amount in your business and a lot of mental harrasment for this.So we are decided to lodge a complaint in the consumer forum against the sundirect network and the agent SS Music,Parumala Junction Mannar PO Alapuzha dist Kerala. and my consumer no. is [protected]. my Adress is Hareesh R,Aditya ,Pullamplavil,Kurattikadu Mannar po alapuzha kerala 689622.Tel no.[protected]

my smart card no [protected] ,sun direct have a very poor customer service and faulty[protected] number for recharge ,single recharge they make u call at least 5-6 times and the computer is programmed for
very slow response or no response for minutes this way they force you to call 5-6 times for single recharge,and min 2-3 calls to customer care.i have every reason to believe that sun direct have some tie ups with telephone companies to rob more money from customers,and most the channel don't work
please stay away from sun direct its just corporate cheating

Sun Direct DTH — Poor service

Though I am facing lot of problems with my Sundirect DTH. Though I have given repeated complaints to the dealer, customer care over phone and e-mails, all my efforts have been in vain. Since last 20 days, I am deprived of viewing TV at home. The dealer categorically told that his work is to sell new connections and not to give service to any complaints.

I do not understand now, to whom should I make the complaint.

You..... Sundirect, if you have any sense of humor, then please do one favour to me..... Send some representative for the first and last time... I want to return or surrender the Sundirect DTH unit and get back my money.

Help me in this regard.

I have registered 10 complaints as we are not getting the TV channels which we are paid. I am calling the Customer Care for the same issue since 20 days.

They says the same story saying "Channels will be adjusted within 24 hrs" and also assured a call back if the issue is not resolved. I did not get a call or issue resolved. My Tel number is [protected]

Today (1 July 2010), They have still not resolved the issue.

I will not recommend Sun Direct to any one,,,,please do not trust Sun Direct Entertainment.


I am really frustrated,,, customer service is worst
I have registered a complaint for not getting channels after activating ESPN and Star Sports. Issue is still not resolved.

I have 6 complaint numbers, they are telling the same stories sayinf it will be fixed. Thi issue is not resolved since from 20 days.

Our SUN direct connection is not working for the last two days. The customer care phone numbers are KEPT BUSY all the time that it has not been possible to reach them. Dumping the DTH is the only operation being done successfully without adequate customer support.

SUNDIRECT can be awarded the BEST POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
