[Resolved]  Tata AIG General Insurance — Worst Customer Care and False Promises

TATA AIG General Insurance has one of the worst customer care and the most exploiting people who will only sell policies and deduct money and will never send the soft copy or the letter. I am trying to contact the customer care for the past two days and the only message I am getting from the IVR is "Your expected wait time is approximately one minute"...this is such a crap message that I had waited for more than 30 minutes for the last 6 - 7 calls that I made. I've contacted almost all numbers locally in Bangalore and Mumbai customer care but they have not turned up. I decided to post like a new customer opting for new policy and I got 4 -5 calls from different people and I explained them the issue and they all mentioned only one thing that they are part of renewals team and they can't act on this complaint. I have mailed, I have submitted feedback and did whatever I could do but still no reply or response. Please dont opt for TATA-AIG General Insurance and never ever try to call their customer care.

Tata-Aig — Deduction of money from my credit card without notifying me

Dear Sir, My name is Sandeep Panja, working at Infosys Technologies Limited, Chandigarh as a software engineer. Some days ago someone from TATA-AIG called me up and tol me about the General Insuarance plan that TATA-AIG offers. I got this call as a HSBC consumer(because I hold a credit card from HSBC & there is some tie-up between HSBC & TATA-AIG). The call was actually forwarded from HSBC to TATA-AIG. The person from TATA-AIG told me that they will deduct Rs.10 from my HSBC credit card as they will send me the whole brochure of the insurance at my permanent address. It has been 3 months since this document has not been delivered. Yesterday I came to know that periodaclly a sum of Rs 2495(nearbabout) has been deducted from my HSBC credit card. When I called to the TATA-AIG call-centre they told me that the deduction has been done for 'Family Secure Plan'. Moreover to say I didn't know my policy number also. When I conveyed my permanenet residence address they told me my policy number..!!! So there are some questions that I need answer as a consumer. These are as follows:- 1) I didn't get any brochure or any kind of paper from TATA-AIG at my address till date. 2) As I haven't got any document from TATA-AIG it's obvious that I haven't signed any leag documents. 3) TATA-AIG didn't inform me about my policy number. I have to get it from the TATA-AIG call centre. 4) In case of my death how my family members will appeal to TATA-AIG for the insurance claim as they don't posess any papers at all. 5) When I asked at the call centre they said me that if I cance the policy then the total amount which has been deducted for the past two months will not be recoverable. It means that I will not get my money back if I freeze my policy at this moment. My policy number as told by TATA-AIG is: FSP[protected] and my permanent address was: C/O-Hiralal Saha, Pratap Bhawan, Town Pratapgarh, Central Road Extension, Agartala, Tripura-799001. So at last my question is how could they legally deduct any money from my credit card if I haven't availed the above mentioned clauses. As a consumer I want a fair trail of this.

Tata-Aig — Worst Customer Service

Hi..

Last year(2008) April I applied and got the Credit Card from HSBC..After a month, I got an Insurance letter from TATA AIG..In that, they have stated that you took an insurance policy for Rs.4, 50, 000 with the monthly premium of Rs.506(including service tax)..and the policy holder for the is HSBC...

The thing is they have not called me up for the policy and i have not accepted such a useless policy(need to pay Rs.506 till my death age)..

After 4 months(Aug'08), i got the statement from HSBC for Rs.3000/-..When called and enquired, they said like its for insurance policy u have taken..then i have decided to go for the final settlement and asked for the same to them..i made the payment of Rs.3000/-..
and i m still waiting for the final settlement letter.

Last month(Jan'09), again i got a statement from HSBC for around Rs.3000/-...I called the customer care and explained all the details..They asked me contact customer care of TATA AIG to cancel the insurance..

I have sent all the details with 3 reminders to customer care of TATA AIG...but still no response..not sure what those stupid people are doing in the office..

Is anybody knows the contact # of supervisor/Manager of Customer Care of TATA AIG to my mail id..So that i can escalate it to them regarding the same..

Guys, Please dont apply for any credit card blindly without enquiring...if you aplly..then you might have to face the same issue as like me..

Tata-Aig — THE CALLER ASKING FOR THE CARD DETAILS FOR INSURANCE

I AM BEING CONTACTED BY TATA-AIG INSURANCE DEPARTMENT AND THEY WANT THE CREDIT CARD DETAILS FROM ME. I AM ALREADY HAVING AN ACCIDENT INSURANCE FOR WHICH I HAVE BEEN CHARGED MONTHLY THROUGH MY CREDIT CARD.
IF THEY HAVE OFFICIAL TIE UP WITH YOU THEN THEY SHOULD GET ALL DETAILS ABOUT US FROM YOU AND NOT THROUGH SOMEBODY WHO CALLS US AND WHOSE IDENTITY WE DONT KNOW.
CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO IT AND ENLIGHTEN US ON THE ISSUE.
