[Resolved]  Tata Safari — Manufacturing faults/Service issues

After doing a lot of research I bought the new Tata Safari 2.2 LX in Black colour in April 2008 from Om Sai Motors, Mumbai. It would have been a great choice had it not been for the worst quality of service from both the dealer and even the customer service manager of Tata Motors and some niggling manufacturing faults in the car.

From day 1, there is a rattling noise in the two front seats. The right side suspension also makes squeaking sounds all the time even on smooth roads. The side cladding has changed colours and showing white spots on several places.

What is most annoying is that out of the 2.5 months that I have had the car, I had to take the car 3 times to the service centre and not a single time did they return the car on the promised date and free of faults. Out of the 70 days that I have owned the car, the car has spent more than 10 days at the workshop. Every time I am told the problem is resolved and every time I find out the same thing reappearing a couple of days later.

There is no apology or compensation from either the dealer or Tata Motors for wasting my time and money. This is my fourth car and it is the most disappointing experience that I have had so far.

Tata Safari — bad service

plz help us, i have a car tata safari, n it not working properly, n there is no one to cure it, all the worker of tata are roughless they always forward us to some other place

Hello, i m LALIT VIJAY FROM BARODA, GUJARAT, i bought a TATA SAFARI 2.2 VTT DICOR, in dec 2009, and from day 1st, we are facing several problem like the day first we has stopped in the mid of our way and the battery was down the the funcions LIKE MUSIC SYSTEM, HEAD LIGHTS, each function was stopped and then we called to the TATA SALES PERSON AT THE 22-00, they came with another car and we had to return to home, another day they said the car is ok, after two days, we got some noise coming from left gate, power window not working, some sparking noise was coming from dashboard, again we sent the car to TATA, again the same checking procedure taken place, after a week again got the wrong indicators like when i break the car the both side indicators are reflecting, so again the same, THEY SAID THIS IS THE PROBLEM OF WIRING AND FUEL IS MIXED, BUT I USED TO TAKE FUEL FROM SHELL PETROL PUMP, THEY TOLD TO CHANGE THE DIESEL FILTER, we agreed to do that, I M A WORKING PERSON AND FROM 1 MONTH CONSTANTLY I USED TO GO TWISE IN A DAY TO TATA MOTORS, THEY REPAIR THE CAR AND CALL ME, I GO AND WHEN TAKE A TEST RIDE, THE SAME PROBLEM ARISES, SO THE CAR TODAY IS ALSO AT THEIR SERVICE CENTRE.

IN THESE 76 DAYS OF PURCHASE OF MY CAR, I HAVE NOT USED MY CAR ATLEAST A WEEK WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM, AND I WENT 28 TIMES TO THE SERVICE CENTRE, WASTED MY TIME, AND FEELING VERY BAD ABOUT MY DECISION TO TAKE TATA SAFARI CAR, I WANT TO REPLACE THE CAR AS I M NOT ABLE TO USE IT ANY MORE.


PLEASE HELP ME IN COMPLAINING AGAINST TATA MOTORS, ME AND MY FAMILY SUFFERING A LOT.

AFTER SPENDING 10, 00, 000 WE GOT ONLY TENSIONS AND PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR.

tata safari EX 2.2vtt — menufacturing fault of company

mi am owner of safari dicor 2.2.vtt EX model 2008. i purchased it from dada motors moga (punjab)my vechicle no is PB29H 4844 .................. I have used so many cars since last 20 years like Maruti, Mahindra and Toyota Qualis.I have never been put in trouble and all my vehicles have proved to be very good for me. These all vehicles are lower version as compared to Safari EX
In the month of april the engine was stopped working. any how the car was reached at goyal &goyal motors patiala. there thry said that the head of the engine was broken due to the problem in timing belt.
at that time they asked that your timing belt was not changed by your dealer.
so sir please suggest us that what will we do in this case pls reply asap

TataSafari — service is worst

Sir,
I left my vechicle PY01BB1056 TataSafariDicor on 15/12/2011 for service at Manakular Service Center(autorized service center for TATA),Till now they didnt give my vechicle If asked it is small problem we are doing,the parts has to come from the company.Even though parts came from company before three days but eventthough they are not doing properly.This is the worst service stattion i ever seen.Not only now all the time they doing like this
when i send my car service.pls take necessary action.

i have purchase SAFARI 2.2 DICOR on 19 NOV 2012.One the first day from SHOW ROOM TO MY home when I parked new car at my door step parking and applied the HAND BREAK, I was surprised when Hand Break assemble came out with the spring. It would have been a great choice had it not been for the worst quality of service from both the dealer and even the customer service manager of Tata Motors and some niggling manufacturing faults in the car.

From day 1, there is a rattling noise in the two front seats. The right of dash board also makes squeaking sounds all the time even on smooth roads. The side cladding has changed colours and showing white spots on several places.

What is most annoying is that out of the 3 months that I have had the car, I had to take the car 6 times to the service centre and not a single time did they return the car on the promised date and free of faults. Out of the 90 days that I have owned the car, the car has spent more than 30 days at the workshop. Every time I am told the problem is resolved and every time I find out the same thing reappearing a couple of days later.

Now the new problem of self at morning time when I started my car It didn't take the self then I called to TATA MOTORS CUSTOMER care they have send the mechanic. He tried to start my car and tried to pull my car through his service Van but it would not started. he advice me bring my car to the service station. Then I bring my car to the service station, they told me that they have send my car self at LUCAS service center for the investigation. Then Next day what I found showroom people has told me that LUCAS has rejected my car self and they told that Its Falt at coustomer END.

What TATA MOTORS WANT TO DO IN THE MARKET. ARE THEY MAKE FOOL OF CUSTOMER OR WHAT.
TATA MOTORS ARE PLAYING WITH CUSTOMER FEELING AS WELL AS THEIR MONEY.

IF TATA MOTORS DO NOT DELIVERED THE GOOD QUALITY IN THE MARKET THEN WHY THEY MAKE THESE TYPE OF JUNK CARS.

There is no apology or compensation from either the dealer or Tata Motors for wasting my time and money. This is my fourth car and it is the most disappointing experience that I have had so far.

This tells me how week our consumer complaint cell is - Tooth less to stop TATA Motors from production with so many complaints.

Shame on TATA Motors, Shame on the judicial system who is behind the consumer complaints and shame on low quality accepting people like us who will continue to live with 3rd grade products.

I have owned Tata Safari dicor 2.2 EX. But the problem is that there is a rattling noise doors, windows and bonnet. Whenever I went to the servicing center at Tedim Motors (Tata Servicing Center) in Imphal, Manipur nothing had been solve. Its a wasting of time and money. I would say that Tata servicing sucks!
