[Resolved]  Tikona — Forgery and Fake Calls for Collection of Amount

I used Tikona with User ID [protected]. The guy who provided the connection took an advance amount of 1600 ( Reciept with me) and i was told about a refund of it at the time of disconnection. I used the service and was good initially. It turned out to be a nightmare soon and it was like almost daily i had to call them for Service Restoration. But was of no use. No one turned up to My place to resolve connectivity Issue. So i discontinued using the connection. It was for 2 Months that i did not even log in to that Broadband connection thinking of it is disconnected, i got a call saying Amount of 3100 is pending on your name. Tikona, Please tell me for what i should have paid ? For the poor response that i got from you ? Or for the Betrayal i got from Your representative ? Now i am getting calls from an un identified number [protected] saying a case has been registered for non payment of bills. Please help as this is the height of any stupidity.

I am facing the exact same issue. I was said that there will be a refund of 1000/- Rs on disconnection. Instead of giving me that amount they asked me to pay 1096/-
I am getting calls saying that I should pay an amount of 3096/- and a case in high court has been registered from some advocate called Vinay Rathore. Next I get a call from a guy named Vinod, who said he will send police at my home if I do not pay immediately. I have both the numbers.

They are clearly trying to extort money and sheer consumer harrassment by broadband service of Tikona!

I agree with some of the readers about the pathetic customer service and after all the communication with the customer care I got a call from [protected] stating that a case has been registered for legal proceedings and that legal action will be taken and that 2500 needs to be paid while I have got the CPE removal letter from the service provider but I have already informed them of cancellation would take 15 day after the request was given. But they are cunning enough to make you continue with their worst service and with no change in the way they handle a customer.

After all this you get a call threatening you to pay the dues from an unknown lawyer but the number is temporary and actually they are no lawyers and no legal action has been taken from their end. "PLEASE BE AWARE THAT NO LEGAL PROCEEDURE IS INITIATED BY THOSE GOONS"

Suggest you to proceed with consumer court.

Even I also received the calls from the same number for minimum 10-15 times. They are giving warnings of Legal action and blah blah. I have all the proofs in written with me that I don't have any outstanding for my disconnected account.

Now, I am planning for a legal action against them.. has anybody initiated it earlier or planning to take any action now ?

I would suggest you not to get into the net of fraudsters like TIKONA. If they call you and threaten by calling you then its better you report the same to Cyber police. Let them take care as you have done nothing wrong and if possible sue them in consumer court. FIGHT BACK
Facing the same problem with these guys. They are demanding money for a modem which they claim has been given to me, while I have all through used my own modem. There is a limit to fraud. Y'day also I got a call from someone claiming to be a lawyer and the usual gyan about dragging me to Delhi court and all. Is this the way Tikona operates? Do not forget. Given below my email to one Adhitya Sharma in response to a claim mail. I sent this mail on 18 Feb '14 after speaking to this person and he assured that it has happened erroneously and he would help close it. Despite that I continue to get emails and calls from Tikona. Guess this is what happens when you buy service from people who have been part of Reliance Communications before. I took the connection on complete trust and this harrassment is really not warranted. I request once more to Tikona guys to stop this nonsense or I will be forced to take legal action now.

I just had a discussion with you Mr. Adhitya Sharma regarding this demand notice you have sent across. I have been informed that this demand notice is for a modem which I have retained after surrender of my connection.

I wish to bring to your notice here that the modem router used for this connection is a DLINK (Model no DIR-605L/IN), which is owned by me. Tikona has never provided me with a router so where is the claim arising from?

Moreover, I am sure from your logs you will be able to generate a report which will tell you that what I say is correct. Hence, you are kindly requested to drop these frivolous demands and close the account. For your information, I have got quite a few calls from your call centre confirming the same immediately after termination and they have confirmed that there is no further outstanding amount left to be cleared.

I have been getting similar threatening calls from Tikona people demanding money for the services I did not use. I took the connection on 29th Dec 2013 after paying Rs.2950 for advance rental of 3 months. Their executive did not tell anything about the billing cycle applicability at that time. All I was told is that I need to pay this amount as advance rent for 3 months which includes all kinds of charges. Their service was worse than pathetic. Everyday there were network disconnect issues for several hrs.

Tired of their poor services, I raised the disconnection request on 19th March 2014 (which is within the 3 month period) and the services as well as usage stopped from 20th March itself. My account services got fully terminated from 30th March 2014 (which is again within the 3 month period for which I had already paid in advance). After that, they sent me bill for the billing cycle 15th March-15th Apr 2014. I had already paid till 30th March 2014 and my account was also terminated by that time, then why should I be paying them till 15th Apr. I had returned the modem also within the 7 days period. The person who took it did not give me any acknowledgement at that time although I had asked him for the same. But now, I see modem penalty charges also added in the bill along with late fees, which I refused to pay as it was undue.

Yesterday also, I got another call from some Vinay Rathore (Ph No. [protected]) pretending to be speaking from Mumbai High Court. He threatened me if I don;t pay the due amount, he would file a case in court against me, and I would be sent in Police custody for 2 days and pay fine of Rs 75000. He started abusing and threatening me when I refused to pay the unfair amount asked by Tikona.

I think its high time that these people be taught a lesson. I am planning to lodge a complaint with Cyber police regarding the same.
