[Resolved] Traffic Police — corrupt traffic police | |||
Friends even i had suffered from harashment of trafic police.One of such traffic policeman(so called gundaas in khakhi)...caught me at IFFCO chowk becoz i was in my car and by mistake i was 6-7 feet ahead then normal standing.this happened because there were two red lights and i was confused which one to follow.i was going gurgaon for the first time.but when i knew i did mistake was was stepping back to come to normal position. Then a criminal(traffic police) came to me ,and asked me to park me the car aside,and demanded for Rs500 as bribe.I told him to take Rs200 and leave me as i was going for an important interview as hewitt associates.the charges of crossing the red light is Rs100(set by government).but he was not ready to take Rs.200 and insisted for 500.nad then in frustation,he made the chalan.The chalan was for Rs.4100. Just imagine,what a heavy cost i had to pay for not paying the bribe.The government has found this way of looting common people,becoz they are not satisfied even after doing so much corruption.they are looting our so much valuable money.beoz i was in hurry,so i could,nt see the name plate of that policeman,but yes i have the xerox copy of that chalan only to take any further action against him. I suggest to other also,that if similar things happened to you also,just be brave at that time of incident,take down the name of the police man or take his pic by any cam or ur mobile and just register a complain at http://www.saferindia.com/. this belongs to kiran bedi.hope to get some justice from this. If anyone has got media power,do involve them also becoz only media can help against such khakhi wearing gundas now.they .we dont need anymore criminals,or murderers around when we have such authorized criminals wearning khakhi are roming to harash us. I was on my way to leave my bike for service. In front of the Ahosk Nagar Traffic Police station in Bangalore a Taffic cop G.H. Shivaprakash haults my bike and asks me to produce my documents it was all perfect. He then asks me to go with him to the staion o verify something. Though I objected he threatened to seizemy bike. On entering the station there was a man with some wounds around his temple and hands seated inside. The cop points at me and tells the man this boy looks rich and you can file a complaint againt him for an accident and get money for your medication in Kanada. The cop had no clue that I was well versed in Kanada. I got furious and told the cop that he could go ahead and do what he wished to in Kanada, challenging him. He then told the wouunded guy that he will get someone else and I was let to go.

I also experienced same at same place in Gurgaon.We people all know about the traffic policemen behavior but nobody does not take any action against him and going ahead.They have not gave me any challen but took 100Rs.Please do something for such corrupted policemen.
A group of cops stopped us and asked for a fine of Rs 100. They checked my license which is Rajasthan RTO passed and is clear of any problems. They said you are not allowed to use this License in Maharashtra for which i argued and they started behaving rude.
They were not giving my License back when i asked for it back so finally i had to give them the money. When I asked for a receipt they told me to come the next day and collect it. I was determined to do sobut when i came back no one of them were standing there anymore.
I would want to make an appeal to our forces to make our Cops more honest and do their duty well instead for just finding ways of robbing the poor people who get suppressed under the uniform.
