[Resolved]  Videocon AC Split — BAD PRODUCTS & CUSTOMER SERVICE

Hi,

This is regarding the air conditioner I bought from Videocon on 25th of Feb 2009 from a worthless NEXT showroom at Tilaknagar. Starting with the bad service of "Next"... these people at next onl know how to make promises and commitments with the customers and never fulfil them, NEXT in my knowledge the WORST SERVICE PROVIDERS in their field. I dont recommmend NEXT to any of you readers. I have bought in total 5 AC's and one TV from NEXT but I am not happy with any of these products or services. So in short.. go with these private showrooms coz they might not be as big a name as NEXT but their service is much better...dnt go for NEXT.

Now lets come to Videocon.. well actually its the name "Video" + "Con" .. so thats what they do. "Con" that means "cheat". Thier products are horrible and the service is even terrible. The attached picture is of the same Videocon AC that I have been using at my home. I bought it in feb2009 and since then have only been facing issues. It costed me INR 17,600/- only but I never knew that saving a few thousand bucks and not buying any other brand would cost me so much. Since I bught Videocon, we have recieved 3 or mores free services from Videocon and none of which were done properly, techinician just came did some formal brushing and went, they didnt even try touching or checking the outdoor unit which has to be cleaned. I trusted Videocon on this as I did not have knowledge of the service and didnot know how it is done..but all what i GOT WAS CHEATING !! Now this AC has stopped cooling and I have been calling the customer service every now and then.. but no action !!

So please go for good brands only.. which means no videocon.. and if anybody from Videocon reads this.. atleast have some self respect and tke some action.

Videocon AC — Very poor customer service

Hello,

I purchased VIdeocon AC model no. VSR 5233 on March 04, 2009. From the very first day the installation was not proper and the flair nut was broken due to which the gas leaked completely. I raised a complaint in the customer care regarding the same for which the service person came to my residence after 10 days and that too after calling 5 times each day. Everyday I was told that today someone will be calling and will come to fix the issue but no one came inspite of my continuos follow-up. And after 5 days the AC was fixed, I am still observing no cooling even after seting the temperature at 16 C. I am now feelling cheated by the dealer from whom I purchased the AC. I should have gone for Bluestar/LG/Samsung regarding which I have heard that they provide service within 24 hrs.

Pls suggest what can I do here.

I have the same problem . I have purchased Videocon split AC on 16th april 2009, the worst decision I have taken so far . The first day itself it had some problem, so they replaced the compressar. We thought it should be working fine then .

But it Stopped cooling in another 10 days :(, now I am calling them repeatedly ..but this customer service wont respond, they will say, the service man will come by this morning, evening blah blah and the whole day just passes away. The temperature is so hot and we have to survive without AC because of this people.

I regret buying this stupid A.C, and will recommend everyone that please dont buy this product . Its sheer waste of money and time

Videocon AC — Poor customer service

Hi

I bought a Videocon AC on 6-June-09. The fan stopped working within 3 months.

I registered a complaint with the customer service on 9th of September. The service received was highly poor and incompetent. It is almost two months now but the AC is still in non working condition. Almost every day I contact the service center, the dealer, the customer service, the service area manager however false promises are made every day to close the complaint.

I never thought that a company which spends so much on marketing the products could have such a low leveled service plan.

Videocon — Poor service and better to not go

I bought a new vedicon LCD on 30/Oct/2009, i requested for demo when the person came for giving demo he found that it is not getting switch on, after he escalate the issue after one week technisian came and check he said mother board need to replace i have been waiting from 20 days to make it fix even they are not giving for replace when i went to the dealer he said like u have to deal with vediocon support only we can't now they are simply telling that for getting mother board it will take one more week, please better to not go for Vediocon

videocon airconditioner — Bad service and bad product

I bought an air conditioner last year (2009) from Next Tilaknagar and the brand is videocon, since then it is giving me problems ... and i supposed to get 3 free services for one year . I got the product serviced .. though i had to suffer alot for getting the technician come to my place since first of all the guys at the customer support were so bad and they knew nothing abt the procedure and they talked as if they were robots . They just kept on repeeating the same things again and agian .. Technician was supposed to get to my place in 24 hrs frm the time i contacted the customer supported and technician never came in time I had to get the complaint frowarded again and again . I was so frustated that i bursted on the agents some times because of which they gave me the number of the Service Station .. and the worst part is that no one picks up the call at the service station (Apolo Services and the guys name is Amit) . After atleast 5 days technician used to come to my place and he never serviced the product properly .. maybe because he had so much work he had to service many ac's on the same day . But the service that the technicain provided was not at satisfactory . He never cleaned the out door unit because of which the out door unit got blocked and i had to get it cleaned by a local technician this year and i had to pay for that . Even after getting my ac serviced 3 times in last one year . And now that ac is not at all working .. and i am facing the same problem again because its been 10 days since i have asked the technician to visit my place ... and now i have not even received a call frm them. Videocon has the work customer service .. and worst products . And they give wrong informations to customers while selling the product and they never look back to atleast give good reception to customer . I was going to buy a samsung AC just because i was given wrong informations ny NEXT retailer i changed my mind and bought 3 ac's frm them and they are facing the same problem . Ac's are not at all working . And i would suggest everybody to never buy a product frm them . They are the worst brand .

I agree to some extent.I had a rather good experience as far as the quality of the product(split 1.5 tonne) is concerned.However customer care service needs to understand the very meaning of the words constituting the same.
I have been using Videocon split AC since 1995 trouble free.However in the current year faced operational problem and lodged complaint with Delhi based customer care centre on21.04.2010.I talked to two persons namelyKishore and Monica explaining my need, provided contact number, address and was given a number DEL[protected] and they disconnected the line without informing as to when should I expect the technician for undertaking the repair.To my surprise 2 gentleman(I didnot see their credentials or noted their name) who identified as representative of Videocon, arrived at my place and started the job.In the meantime due to loadshedding in my area they could not carryot the job further.They left the premises with promiss to revisit next day by 1000 hrs.They have not visited the place so far resulting in A/C remaining in deassembled position.Efforts to contact the Customercare has resulted in this communication.
Will the person concerned who may by mistake read this take some appropraite action so that my experience of this good product is not translated into the one expressed by others i.e.I loose confidence?
I have also faced the same problem with these people. Really Videocon Service is hopeless case.

Not to recommend any one to purchase a product whose servicing is done by Videocon.

Videocon — poor quality product & poor company service

a new VIDEOCON TV VSN34SSJ purchased on 30th March 2010 starts developing problems in june2010 ie within the 1st 3 months of purchase.. spots start appearing on the screen.. and by the 2nd week of July 2010 just stops working completely. A complaint was made on 11/07/2010 -MUM [protected] attended by Mr Narayan.. but within 5mins of the service man leaving the TV stops working again. another complaint was made on 17/07/2010 MUM [protected] and spoke with the supervisor Mr Shrikant Chavan who gave an assurance that another service man would come over and do the needful.but no one has come for the same.

i have introduce many people to take that connection , and i have 3 numbers using my home my number is [protected] i will join on the early time ther connection started . but still they have reduce ther offers by by increasing costomers. that doesn't matter but still they are cheating with ther offers by over billing . if we doesn't chek that gone from us 4 days i am in troble
i purchase videocon split a/c on 02.03.2012 at uppal godown, but on 28.04.2013 that was repaired, i raised complain about this, service person came and confirmed that outdoor unit already used and serviced, now compressor gone, you have to purchase new one only. IN THAT COMPRESSOR ONE STICKER IS THERE NO GUARNTEE/NO WARANTY.

Same thing happened with me. I bought videocon split AC 1.5T last year in June. Some days before completion of one year, suddenly one night the fan of the outdoor unit broken without any external force. it also damaged the condenser. Service centre people said that it may happen due to some bird came in contact with the fan. My question is that the fan is covered in a grill, how could a bird get inside the unit. Secondly if a bird came inside it then where did she went when the service person opened the unit for repairing. It must die there. First time I faced this type of problem that without any reason the fan broke.

So my advice is not to use any videocon product in future and suggest your friend and family you care about that they also not use videocon product and save their valuable money.
