[Resolved]  Vodafone - Delhi — Vodafone Delhi not allowing Port out request

This is to bring to your notice that I had made 4 port out requests from Vodafone to Reliance vide the following details for my Vodafone No -[protected]: Date of Porting request - 09/07/2013 * Porting code (UPC) Code Number -VD136717 * Date of Porting request - 30/07/2013 * Porting code (UPC) Code Number -VD231376 * Date of Porting request - 02/08/2013 * Porting code (UPC) Code Number -VD322934 * Date of Porting request - 14/08/2013 * Porting code (UPC) Code Number -VD322934 Vodafone has declined all my requests for frivolous reasons everytime citing that the porting code does not match the doner allocated porting code for this number. Whereas in all their SMS to my number they have mentioned the Correct Porting No. everytime which they have received from my side. I'm really fed up with Vodafone and dont want to continue any further. I request your intervention so that my number can be ported out easily & save me from harassment. Its already more than 1 month since i have been trying and unnecessarily i have wasted lot of time because of the hesistant nature of Vodafone and unnecessarily getting harassed by them. Thanks, Ashwani

Vodafone — Repeated harrassment.

Dear Sir/Madam,
It is more than a month (Sept' 2009) that I have submitted the letter of disconnection with all payments made for post paid connection no.[protected] also my I/D copy been given to them as per their forced requirement to prove that I am disconnecting this no. I am still getting calls from them on my other vodafone no. asking me to reconnect the connection with minimum billing. Several times I visited their office with some or the other problems. To be to the point we had another pre-paid connection, we had once accidently upgraded the 'GPRS' service, every month Rs.50/- was being deducted, to this I telephonically lodged a complaint, then again visited every month to the vashi station gallery, personally asking to discontinue the 'GPRS' service and refund me the amount; they cheked their system & said yes it is disconnected but, in vain nothing gained to our part. Still every alternate month Rs.50/- was deducted. We then stopped refilling the card. The third postpaid no.[protected] that I hold is billed to incorrect person name, I have several times requested them to correct, but they are blaming me to have filled incorrect name.I have given them relevant documents as proof. When asked to show the forms that were filled, they kept giving false promises saying it will be corrected within 48 hours, which is yet to come past 03 months. They have entered my name incorrectly as 'Mr. M Roy Choudhury'. There is lack of seriousness at their end and they seem to have no respect or regard for their esteemed clients. They are just greedy for money as in the blood of their owner of the company. We had high usage & never cross checked the bills sent, always paid the bill on time. Worst to that for the current month they have again sent a bill with some fictitous amount.
I am shocked by these kind of behaviour and cheap attitude of this company. This is too much, such harrasment cannot be pardoned. This is the service we receive by being loyal to them. I expect proper compensation and strict action.
I hope this will be dealt seriously.Would you be the client in our place what would be your reaction?

Thanking you,

Roy Choudhury

I have recharged my mobile [protected] on 06/03/2010 online for Rs. 410. But I have not received same recharge. payment was deducted from my credit card. I wrote around 20 mail & talked more than 10 time on call centre. Finally I got the reply that they refunded my amount to my credit card & my query is closed. & finally I have not got any refund or recharge & I am left only with frustration.

So there is "no Happy to help" on vodafone

Vodafone - Delhi — Online Recharge

I have recharged my phone using online recharge facility on vodafone website vodafone.in. The transaction was successful. But, the amount was not credited though it was debited from y bank account. Now after almost 20 hours, when I talked to their CCE, he says that it takes almost 48 hours to reflect the amount. My question is if it really takes 48 hours then why it is not mentioned there on the website? And, why the money debit is so quick and updation takes 48 hours?

Vodafone — Not allowing porting

I have been the regular costomer of Vodophone post paid mobile service for more than three years. few days back I have realized that other compnies has more compitent plans to offer, so I tried to change the service provider. When I asked about the porting servise I was told that porting is possible on prepaid service only. It can.t be done on post paid connection.

i have requested Vodaphone to change my category into prepaid, the company has transferred my connection into prepaid category. After changing my category into prepaid I have applied for portining. The company has messaged me that your porting has been rejected due to the number or range have been connected for less than 90 days.

Porting code VR354897

Vodafone — Vodafone not allowing to port out

I am trying so hard to port out from past 2 month. but your company is not allowing me to port out I paid all dues, and deactivated contractual agriment by going to Vodafone shop at Hyper city mall. But stll i am facing the problem to port out. Please take the necessory action against who are ruining the vodafone company goodwill by showing the unprofessional approch. I sent the mail to the vodafone nodel as suggested by you.I already sent the email to the TRAI. but all are loosers. No reply reply from those. TRAI is also not taking these complains seriously. Vodafone itself is ruining its market value by not supporting their costomers. Vodafone is the worst service provider i have ever found till now date. Beleave me friends. Never go for the vodafone servives.

Vodafone — Repeated harassment for over a month on porting out

I am reaching out to bring to your attention the harassment I have been facing from Vodafone Mumbai since 25th April in my repeated attempts to port out my post paid number +91 [protected]

Here’s a summary of efforts I have made between 25th April to 27th May:
1. Generated two UPC codes: 25th April: VM 272416 ; 13th May: VM289616

2. Registered three complaints: 17 May[protected], 21 May -[protected], 27 May[protected]. Prior to 17th May, I was not allowed to even register a complaint.

3. Written to Nodal officer Zillah V on 18th May – No response received till date except for automated response. Promised turn around time of 48 hours.

4. Spoken to over 15 junior customer care executives at Vodafone (Karan, Shoaib, Keyur, Zahid etc.) and 2 supervisors (Farooq, Prasanna) – Each one has assured that there is no problem and I should get my service provider to resubmit the request. Each time request has been rejected.

5. Requested my new service provider, Tata Docomo, to submit requests 10 times – Each time the request has been rejected despite the assurance from Vodafone helpline stating “this time the request will certainly be approved”

Here are some of the common excuses I have received from my interactions with the helpline:

1. Billed outstanding not cleared – Has been cleared as of 06th May 2011

2. Value added services not deactivated – Have been deactivated as of 06th May

3. Due to system/technical problem, you don’t seem to have received a call from our customer retention department. Till you get such a call, request cant move forward as it needs to be closed from the retention department – I have received only two calls from this dept., one on 25th April and the other on 26th May. On both occassions, the representatives have confirmed that request is now closed from their side and that port out request will be processed. Vodafone has rejected my request 10 times now, including 2 times after such calls.

4. Please visit Vodafone Store for further assistance – For what ???

5. “Contractual Agreement” needs to be “deactivated” – No information provided on how this contract can be deactivated

6. All outstandings are cleared on your account. Please request your service provider to re-submit the request and THIS time it’ll be done. Tata Docomo has resubmitted 9 times after such reassurances only to be rejected each time.

7. Insufficient balance in your account to cover unbilled outstanding – Despite my repeated queries to the helpline executives as well as seniors, I was never once informed that my unbilled outstanding also needs to be cleared in order for approval to be processed. Of my own initiative, I have transferred credits of Rs. 470, Rs. 1200 and Rs. 500 during this period to cover my unbilled amount. However, each time Vodafone finds new excuses for rejection as a result of which my unbilled amount keeps rising and exceeds the credit I have deposited in my account.

The latest request was submitted by Tata Docomo on 23rd May evening after receiving multiple confirmations from supervisor Prasanna on 21st (complaint reference: [protected]) and another executive on 23rd that my request is completely ready to port out. It has again been rejected. After a hold time of over 20 minutes, the reason provided by the same supervisor Prasanna for this rejection is “Rs. 200 insufficient balance in account to cover unbilled outstanding”. He also admitted his mistake in not informing me about this condition when we spoke on 21st May.

I have now transferred additional funds to cover my unbilled outstanding. As of now, my unbilled outstanding is Rs. 1868.72 and credit in account is Rs. 2173.15/-. Subsequently, Tata Docomo has logged in a request for the 11th time into the sysrem for porting out my number.
I now await Vodafone to either process this request or reject it once again with another creative excuse. I would be surprised if it’s the former.

Having been a loyal and high value Hutch/Vodafone customer for past 5 years, I am not thoroughly disgusted with the company. Regardless of whether they port out my number, I will never take my business to them and will caution everybody against the same.

However, I write to you to seek your help in understanding -
a) what else I can do get my number ported out from Vodafone ?
b) what is the penalty mechanism on telecom operators for such blatant customer harassment and violation of TRAI norms w.r.t portability ?

Thanks for helping customers air their grievances through this forum.

Megha
