[Resolved]  Vodafone — Excess gprs charged

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

Hi,

I am writing with respect to excess charges applied for my vodafone no. [protected]. The services request no. is[protected].

My earlier bill cycle was from 28 to 27. My bill plan got changed to 4 to 3 due to bill plan change. My gprs plan is of the rental Rs.99 for 2 GB free usage which I have been using for almost a year.

I had called up the call centre 5 times from my no. [protected] for the details regarding how my gprs will be charged with respect to my bill plan change. The below are the date and time of the calls.

Date Time (hh:mm:ss)
15/02/2013 12:51:11
23/02/2013 00:56:57
23/02/2013 01:06:28
24/02/2013 12:20:32
26/02/2013 13:18:51

Everytime I had called and enquired about how my data usage and rental will be charged. Every single call centre executives said the same sentence - "The rental will be pro-rata and the data usage will be full usage".

I even questioned them again for confirmation saying that I will be charged pro-rata rental from 28.1.13 till 14.2.13 (18 days)and usage will be 2 GB and again I'll be charged pro-rata from 15.2.13 till 3.3.13 (17 days)and usage will be 2GB.

Request you to look into the call record tapes and grant the reversal for extra gprs charges applied.

Regards,
Ramya Krishnan

Vodafone — CHARGED SILENTLY ON GPRS

Last month, I used Vodafone Live with my Rs 10 as balance in my prepaid account. After using Vodafone Live, I went to check my balance and surprisingly I came to know balance became -Rs 140/ (Negative Rs 140).

Generally as all you know that, in case of prepaid connection, service(s) from Vodafone is/are provided up to the balance limit of all customer and discontinue after ZERO balance. but in my case, Vodafone Live was continue and made me in Negative Balance.

Now after requesting the Executives several times by fax, by e-mail and on phone (again today talk to Mr Amit Chopra and his senior at Vodafone) they did not agree to waive off the negative amount Rs 140.

My point of request to waive off the amount is : In case of prepaid account, a customer may allowed only till his balance amount while he dails and talks.
Why not it is cut off or warned before getting balance Zero in case o[censored]sing Vodafone Live ? (However Vodafone argument is that account is uppdated after using Vodafone Live by Yahoo)

Think my case or case like me. Is there any relief of my case? or should I go to Consumer Forum against Vodafone???

Charged Silently on GPRS connection is absoloutely correct. I had also experienced the same while the put my balance to -243.00. I think this is such activity where they silently and unlawfully deductiong the amount.

There are no conditions as the one you said above. The services are designed to deduct your balance until you stop using it.

You're balance was not deducted unlawfully or silently. You did not bother to inquire about the full tariff plans, etc, etc.

When I activated mine, I asked them about all the details regarding the tariffs and I asked them, if my balance would go to negative, they said yes. They don't have to reveal the information to you unless you ask them about it.

Vodafone — GPRS Charge

I have taken a Vodafone Postpaid sim and changed it to prepaid after few days. I had to submit proof and i did it. But my line was cut off. I called customer care and they said i have to submit proof once again. I did it and it took 3 days for them to switch my line on. My dad was using my umber as i have to get a new number. He used to get lots of service messages which he doesn't view. But Vodafone charged 99 Bucks for opening a service message. When contacted a customer care executive they promptly replied it was for activating a GPRS pack. My dad never knows about GPRS.I couldn't get help from the advisor so asked her to put through to supervisor and she immediately did and disconnected my call. Called once again and asked to put me through to a team leader. Worst Behaviour from the team leader. She was not polite and not even bothered to hear what i said. Which resulted me paying 99 bucks to a company which employs people who never cares and disrespect their own customers .I hate Vodafone They are a useless crap. They are not Happy to Help us . . !!!! They just show up as if they really do !!!! It would be better if they stop focussing on DOGGY ads and start focussing on CUSTOMERS. . . !!!!

Hi,

I am writing with respect to excess gprs charges applied for my vodafone no. [protected]. The services request no. is [protected] .

This is getting ridiculous every single time. I have written two mails to corporate.[protected]@vodafone.com regarding the matter as they have confirmed to me that they have not recieved the first mail i sent on 14 aug 2013.

I was in chattisgarh and was using vodafone gprs on home network (ie vodafone) by manually selecting vodafone on my handset. I have been to this state before also and have used vodafone gprs and that time i was not charged excess.

I selected the network by manually to avoid getting latched to any other network (in my case IDEA). I have to know how can my service start on vodafone and end on idea. Also how can the network override my manual setting.

I have written mails and requested for call backs. But they never happened. I have attached the web chat with vodafone also.

Request you to look into this matter and grant the reversal for extra gprs charges applied.

Ramya Krishnan
