I purchased a Lenovo laptop (Model: 15 LOQ BBIN 140i7 16GB8X 1TBSSD+O) on 25th July 2025 from Croma store, Vegas Mall, Sector 14, Dwarka. I clearly asked the store staff whether the laptop was a demo or opened unit. They repeatedly assured me that it was completely new and sealed.
But the next day, I checked the Lenovo warranty status online and was shocked to find the device was first activated on 29th May 2025 — nearly two months before my purchase. This clearly means the product was either used, demo, or pre-registered, not new.
I returned to the store the next day, and now they claim it was opened only for “updating”, which contradicts their earlier statement. Also, I noticed minor scratches on the product body — further evidence that this was not a brand-new unit.
I have already contacted Lenovo support and submitted documents (invoice, warranty screenshot, and serial number). But no resolution yet.
I am requesting an immediate replacement with a genuinely sealed, unused unit, and that Lenovo resets the warranty to start from my purchase date: 25th July 2025. I paid full price expecting a new product, not a tampered or demo piece.
