Sub.: Loss of Consignment, Irresponsible Behaviour, Mental Harrasment

Highlights : Company has an attitude of saying loudly that entire govt machinery is in their pocket

We had booked a consignment (Hypertherm Quick Disconnect Receptacle) for our valued client M/s. Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd., , Raipur at DTDC Courier, 10 Mill Officers Colony, Behind Reserve bank of India, Ashram road, Ahmedabad – 9, vide their docket no. F09341762 on 19/11/2015 along with our invoice no. R/031 dt.:19/11/2015 for Rs. 44, 875.

On 15th december 2015, our customer complained that they have not received the parcel, so we have inquired with DTDC courier booking office over the phone and in turn they told us that they will revert us. Till one week we didn’t got any reply from them and so we called them and asked to hand over the case to responsible manager. In this reference Deepa from DTDC called us on 21st december 2015 and told us that she will revert in a weeks time. We didn’t got any reply from her till 26th December so we had send our first mail to her marking cc to Raipur & Ahmedabad Office and requested them to give the status of parcel or make the payment to us.
In this reference Deepa called us and asked to send second email to Kruti (Customer Care Manager) and Abhay Dholakia (Sales Manager - [protected]) and told us that if we will email to them they will push the matter and help us to get our parcel .

On 28th Morning we got a call from Deepa informing that the parcel is lost due to carelessness of DTDC team. We in turn told her to refund the amount and also the compensation for the loss happened to customer due to delay in parcel and also send her third email marking cc to abhay, kruti and ahmedabad office. Thenafter we spoke to Abhay Dholakia and he told us your case is genuine, its mistake of DTDC and as your parcel is lost we will give you the amount of invoice. On 31st december afternoon, we got a call from Mr. Abhay informing us that the parcel is found and they will deliver to our customer today itself or on 1st january 2016. On 2nd january morning we inquired with customer and they told that still they have not received parcel so we called Mr Abhay and asked him the status and in turn he told us that it was not our parcel. In this ref we again send fourth email on 2nd January requesting him to solve the matter either ways.

In this reference we got a call from Mr. Abhay on 4th Jan informing us that for making the payment he requires request letter from our side. On 4th jan we have send our fifth email along with the Request letter to Mr. Abhay. Also got revert of the email from Mr. Abhay asking us to send AWB copy. Then after we have send AWB copy as a sixth email. Thenafter till 9th we called Mr. Abhay for 5 times but he didn’t replied so we send seventh email requesting to make our payment of lost parcel. Thenafter we personally went to his office and requested him to give the claim amount and than he told that as Rajiv Machine Tools has not taken Insurance DTDC can’t pay. We told him that till now why he has not informed us the same and promising us to give the claim amount, secondly we clearly told him that it was not informed to us while booking the parcel and third most important thing “Is there any responsibility of DTDC” ? In turn he told us that are you uneducated ? DTDC has mentioned on back side with very small writing and if you can’t read its your problem. Also further he told us that you should watch OMG movie its not a Act of GOD. Then he added that we don’t care for any parcel, we are doing good business and so we are in monopoly. Next time you don’t book. We told him that if he will behave like this than we will do the police complain. So he told our CEO has relation with Commissioner of Police and we are managing them. Being a common man we didn’t had any way out so we pleaded him to give us our hard earned money, so he became soft and asked us to wait for few days and promised to give the claim amount if we will keep silent.

On 18th Jan 2016 we had send eight reminder mail asking to make the payment and then he told us that its in process and he will make the payment in one week. He also informed us that AGM Sir Mr. Debjyoti has approved the same and cheque will be ready in one week. Than we waited till 27th Jan and send him ninth email and we got call from Mr. Abhay informing that your cheque is approved to sign and Mr. Radheshyam will send us the closure approval so we will handover the cheque to you and asked us to wait for 2 days. Email from Mr. Abhay on 27th Jan asking Radheshyam to close the case. After meeting Mr. Abhay and seeing the emails and telephonic conversation, we though we will receive cheque in two days.

We waited for almost 10 days and again called Mr. Abhay requesting to give our payment of lost parcel and he told us that he will take one more week as cheque is prepared and AGM sir signature is pending. Thenafter we called Mr. Abhay more than 100 times he didn’t answered the call. One day in last week of february 2016 we had surprise visit to his office at Ashram road and he got caught. He couldn’t escape and than told us that all documents are ready and AGM Sir is coming on 1st march and then he will get the cheque sign and give us on 2nd March. We again waited for him and called him on 7th March asking to give the cheque orelse we will do the police complain or go to consumer forum. In reply to this he told us that DTDC is a brand and no Consumer Forum can do anything as we are doing business with all the govt officers and our AGM knows Commisoner of Police so do whatever you can do. We remain silent and pleaded him to give our payment. He again asked time for a week.

We again called him on 14th March and asked him for our cheque and he told us that on 15th he will give us cheque finally as it is with AGM Mr. Debjyoti. On 15th Mr. Nilesh from our office personally went there and sat at his office from morning 10 AM till 0730 PM. During this period Mr Abhay was asking time as AGM Sir was busy and mentioning that cheque is with AGM Sir and he will sign soon. In the evening around 7pm I Personally went to check why Mr. Abhay is not cooperating. I found that he was playing game with us. So I asked him in bold voice to cooperate orelse we will go to consumer forum this time. He told us that several cases and customers have gone to consumer forum but our owner Mr. Chakraborty has his people in Consumer Forum across India and so till noone from Consumer forum has came to us and also we don’t care of Police because we are managing Police account and so they are under our obligation. During this discussion I took his photograph and he commented that you can give it to media because we are also managing media and giving them money for not printing against us.

If this is kind of daring a sales manager of DTDC courier has than I don’t know how will INDIA grow. It was no point talking to a person like him and everyone from DTDC was watching this but nobody came to stop him. We finally begged and told his to give LOSS Letter which he didn’t gave on 15th and promised to give on 16th March. On that day we called him more than 100 times which can be traced by vodafone company anytime. Mr. Abhay didn’t answered. I went to his office at 630 pm and forced him to give me loss letter which he gave me after an hour and told me do whatever I can do because DTDC is a National Brand and no govt agency, Police, Anti Corruption or Consumer Forum can hold neck if it. Also he told us that several cases against DTDC is in court and nothing has happened till now because DTDC legal team is strong.

We sincerely request you to help us in this case to get our payment and stop DTDC as they are fearless and have given us heavy amount of mental stress, time loss and upfrontly told that they don’t care for any system.
