HappyEasyGo — refund of cancelled ticket | |||||
I had booked an online ticket through the travel portal - happyeasygo for onward and return journey on september 2, 2019, on air asia airlines for pune to kolkata and back for travel in january 2020, for an amount totaling ₹8428/-. On october 15, 2019, i received an sms from the airlines, saying that the flight has been cancelled and you can apply for refund of the money. I did cancel my ticket booked through happyeasygo on october 19, 2019 and they promised to return my money within 21 working days. It has been over a month and half since then and numerous calls made to their customer care center to know about the status of the refund, yet there has been no clear resolution provided by them. The travel agency has cheated by time and again by saying that the money will be processed, call back after 48 hours, but nothing has been done till now. I have called them regularly on november 7, 16, 19, 23, 26 and 30. The travel agency is of the opinion that the airlines has not processed the refund, but when i ask them to provide me with the acknowledgement number of the cancellation made such that i can verify the matter personally with the airlines, they refuse to do so. I called them again on december 2, 5 and as recent as 6 (Today) and they have been saying the same thing that "kindly wait for 48-72 hours." It's the nost fraudulent company i have seen.
