Hathway — Regarding Deposit Refund

I have disconnected my connection due to relocation and the hathway people called me to return the modem stating that i will get my deposit back as it was disconnected. But I have not received my refund yet. Now they saying there is conditions etc, . Which was not said to me from salesperson by the time connection was taken, also I have not signed any terms for this. While returning my device I was told that my deposit amount will be refunded in a week from salesperson. This is hathway scamming people into trap, they know no one will return device if you aren't getting your refund. But they lied as I will get my money back.
