Brief history (Personal):

I am a physically handicapped person with disabilities in both lower limits (Legs). This has happened in march’1987 due to the gullianbarre syndrome (Gbs), due to which my both lower limits got paralyzed. However, due to continuous physiotherapy sessions & exercises, my left leg could recover up to 80% while there is nil power in right leg as on date. With my left leg, i could drive car and do my normal daily routines. I walk with a walking stick in one hand and supporting walking calipers in right leg.

Case history:

Of late, i have been suffering from acute knee joint pain in my left leg. Thus, i visited dr. Yajuvendra gawai, orthopedic surgeon in dr. L. H. Hiranandani hospital powai, mumbai where i used to live before relocating to delhi. He prescribed certain medicines with physiotherapy exercises, but the problem remained as it is and pain could not be relieved, although i could walk around / drive as normal.

During january’2017, the doctor (Dr. Gawai) prescribed me an injection synovisc/durolane which has to be injected intra –articular into my knee joint for pain relief. He told me that there will be no side effects and it may or may not work, but there will be absolutely no side effects. On his advice, i had taken the injection which had cost me around rs.18000/- and rs. 4200/- as injecting charges. The injection was taken in january’2017 and in around 2-3 weeks around first week of feb’2017, i started developing redness/rashes over the knee joint area where the injection was inserted.

Thereafter, i visited dr. Lh hirananadani hospital several times during february-march’2017 and seen dr. Gawai, dr. Gutte (Skin doctor), immunologist, general surgeon and cardiologist. It was diagnosed by all that the injection material (Durolane) has gone into the skin around the knee area instead of getting it into knee joint through intra articular injection (Ia). Meanwhile, the redness over the joint area had turned into black and by end of march’2017, the area around knee joint had turned full dark black and doctors at hiranandani hospital, nanavati hospital, dr. Paresh pai & doctors consulted in delhi (My home town) diagnosed it as skin gangrene with severe repercussions. I was recommended debridement surgery to remove the blackish area and thereafter grafting (Plastic surgery) surgery for covering the affected area.

Meanwhile, i was transferred out of mumbai and relocated to delhi during april’2017. The various doctors consulted in delhi also diagnosed the cause of gangrene because of negligence of dr. Gawai dur to which the injection material has gone into the skin instead of joint as cause. I had consulted several senior doctors at medanta hospital, sir ganga ram hospital (Sgrh) in delhi and all were of same view and suggested the two surgeries, as mentioned above.

The surgeries were done at sgrh on 15th & 17th may, 2017 which costs me around rs.3.50 lakhs and i am still recovering from the surgery. There has been limited mobility due to stiffness of joint and muscles as on date also after five months from surgery and i am unable to do my daily routines.

I would request you to take stern action against the negligent doctor who knowingly well about my leg problem had grossly mis-conducted himself in negligent manner rendering me completely immobile till date. He should be immediately barred from taking any more consultations so as to save the society as a whole. Further, the cost so incurred by me on the treatment shall also be reimbursed to me in full.

    Hi my name is vishal subandh. I have been trying to book an appointment with dr sanjeev ahuja for my son since he is suffering from high fever. I have called on the customer care number but too my disgust the phone was not picked up for more than 18 mins. Finally when the phone was picked up and i expressed my concern the lady operator informed be of a system error. My question is can a reputed hospital like hiranandani have system errors with their customer support lines? What if a patient is about to die? Is he then going to die because of a the hospital dealing with a system error. I would like the officials of the hospital to deal with this matter very seriously or then bear serious consequences of for bad reputation in the consumer court...

      My 9 month old daughter was suffering from high fever in the last week of may (24th may) and it was not going down for 2 days. I took her for consultation with a pediatrician in hiranandani hospital, thane. The doctor suggested to get her blood and urine tested for malaria, dengue, cbc and urine infection. I got the samples collected and given for testing in the pathology lab in the hospital itself.

      When i had gone to collect her reports, i was given the reports for malaria and cbc. The dengue and urine sample reports were to be collected the next day. When i visited the pathology the next day, the printer was not working. Hence, i was given a hand written report for the urine test and i was told that the dengue report is negative. I had shown all these to the doctor, and she mentioned that all looks fine. My daughter's fever also subsided by the next day.

      On 17th june, i had gone to the hospital to meet a relative admitted there. I happened to collect the physical copy of the report and was shocked to see that dengue was indicated as positive. I took it to show to the doctor and she very casually mentioned that it must have been dengue. It was neither reported to me or the doctor that the dengue report was positive. I am not sure if it was reported to the thane municipality as well.

      I would request you to please look at such casual behavior very strictly. Due to the careless attitude and reporting, my daughter's life would have been at risk. There should be a strict action taken against such callous attitude.

        The TPA was given to pre-approve a cashless policy in favour of our new born baby but since it was taking too long a time we cancelled the cashless part and paid it directly to the hospital. But then our TPA(DHS) told that our cashless approval has been done after two days and so it reimbursement cannot be lodged.
        When the matter was taken up with the hospital authorities the TPA department informed that they had given the cancellation request to DHS and got the cancellation done. DHS has since refuted of giving any such cancellation to the hospital.

        Now I took the matter with the TPA sternly to which he said he will find out with DHS and come back. Following which he suddenly disconnected the line itself. These people won't wait if their money is not settled, but then as it is our claim and lax was from their part they are not hearing anything. It is pitiable on the part of such a reputed institution to behave in such an irresponsible manner.

        Had got approval from Reliance general insurance for cashless for my COVID treatment for my discharge in October second week. During final billing 10k amount was withheld as deposit for clearing from reliance to hospital. It’s been more than 4 months now, but still deposit amount is not refunded back. Have been sending reminders to TPA regularly but getting no revert from them.
        Kindly intervene.

          Patient visited Opd, suggested to be admitted to hospital, ended up 12 days in hospital, various test done and billed, every time payment made to them and requested for detail price list they handed detail bill and not original price list as they say it is not available. There is no transparency in pricing, and charges are way higher than even big and reputed Mumbai hospitals. On complaint they seem to provide detail billing rather than price list as that does not exist. Ended up paying almost 3 lacs for high fever with no resolution after 12 days in hospital. Very inefficient finance and billing staff and definitely case of cheating. I should say there nursing staff is excellent and big assets for this hospital, whereas there process and finance staff is ridiculous not even worth mentioning. Doctors are OK need some experience rather than doing trial and error on patient.

            With extreme disgust & dissatisfaction, I am writing this complaint against Hiranandani Hosp Powai. My wife Sujatha Shetty met with an accident on 16tth Dec 2015 & I immediately rushed her to the casualty emergency ward in the afternoon. The ward was completely empty. They admitted my wife at around 3:45PM. Post this I have not seen a more callous approach by so called ''doctors'' at the hospital. 1) The nurse asked my wife to clean her own wounds. If this was required to be done by us, why would I admit her? Don't you understand its your duty & not ours. 2) There were 2 so called doctors who were constantly busy on their phones or chatting around. Least bothered if the patient was fine. 3) Within minutes asking us to do multiple unnecessary tests like x rays & CT scan. I have never seen a more professional way of looting money. 4) The Xray machine was not function for over an hour & we were made to sit like fools. 5) Then I got to understand the logic. As per rules, if the patient is there in the casualty ward for over 2 hours, the hospital charge us Rs 600 for the bed. I was asking myself, if they wanted to extort money, they should have told us directly instead of making us wait for no rym or reason. 6) While discharging, no mention of any ointment & left us to fend for ourselves. I know I will not get any response from your so called customer service to my email, but I am going to upload this on facebook so that other innocent people should not be looted

            My name is Sabrina patel mr no mr/13/28013. I have not received my security deposit. Forwarded the settlement paper too. Just called n the person just kept the phone. Very frustrating. When my company has settled the money why can't u give my money. I m in financial crisis.

              I approached Hiranandani Hospital-Dermocosmetolgy Department (Dr Mansi Sanghvi) on 20th July, 2013 for the (left) elongated ear lobe-she examined and suggested to get the same stitched. She also recommended to get both the ear lobes repaired (though there was only a minor problem in the right ear) . She said clearly that post the procedure there would be only a minor dent on the surface (which would also be disappear after 2 months). She also suggested getting a fresh ear piercing done the same day. During the course of stitching, I observed (as was mentioned by the Dr herself) that she did not possess the adequate equipments to conduct the surgery and used longer equipment for stitches. However, despite almost 4 weeks of taking the stitches -I observe NIL improvement in the appearance of the left ear. Dr Mansi is suggesting to get the area re-stitched. This is not an area of clothing (neither I am a guinea pig) which can be exposed to multiple stitches for incompetence/negligence meted out by a Doctor attached to a prestigious hospital. The whole objective of getting the treatment was to remove the aesthetic mis-alignment in a reputed hospital trusting that the treatment offered would be world class for the higher charges paid. I have suffered physical, mental, psychological and financial harassment and demand an appropriate compensation for the agony.

                My Complaint is against Dr Deepika Shetty from Dermo Cosmo Department of an esteemed Hospital Dr LH Hiranandani.(Powai) I had smll scar on my arm. I met Dr Deepika Shetty in December and with her advise and surity of removing the scar I started the treatment termed as Polishing. She told me to get 4 sittings of the same done and after thet she will do a Dermo roller therapy, with which the scar will be cmpletely removed.I WASTED ALMOST 4000/- Rs on same which was of no use. On completion of my 3rd sitting , she told ne that they are going to do a laser thing , with which the scar will be removed. From January 2010 onwards iam continuosly following up with the hospital to fix up an appointment for the same. but every day I get an excuse that machine required for the same is not available in the hospital. and now they have denied that machine wld nt be available. I fail to understand that on what basis does that doc started my treatment. was it just to make money. Really this was not expected from Hiranandanin hospital. Had it been a govt hospital, I would not have been so surprised. And the best part is whenever you wish to Speak to De Deepika shetty either she is busy with the patients or not available in hospital. I have neverseen susch a lier and irresponsible doctor in my life.

                Yes. She has the attitude of avoiding the calls, when she cant handle the case. A patient has to be updated on the status. Avoiding the call is just degrading your professionalism.
                She is never available, her appointments are very diifficult to get, u have to book months in advance to get her appointment. Most of the doctors appointments are available in a couple of days. Dr Deepika is very convincing when she wants a patient to book any packages, after the money is paid she hardly shows any interest in the follow ups. I was surprised how no one complained so far.
                This is so true. I for the last few days was trying to get an appointment with her. Her assitant always confirmed the appointment, however, on the day of the appointment - i would get an sms, that she is not coming to the hospital.
                Interestingly, i got a sms when i was already there in the hospital and seeing her, I got a sms again saying 'appointment cancelled - doctor not coming today'. When I asked her about this SMS; she just smiled.
                This is so very unprofessional.
                Shame on the Hospital. Unprofessional, careless and big liers..
                Amazing hospital, Dr Deepika Shetty is very knowledgeable and very helpful
                I had acne, hyperpigmentation and blemishes. Though reluctant to approach doctors, a friend of mine convinced me to consult Dr. Deepika shetty. she patiently listens about the root cause of the problem and prescribes medication according to how best my skin can take it. I could see decent changes in just 2 months time. I can expect to have clear skin in the ensuing months. Dr.Deepika shetty is affable and very friendly. Highly recommended
                The worst doctor i hv ever seen, she told me to pay everything is advanced. Now she has stopped receiving my calls, she is really bad, whenever i call her, i dont get any appointment. her receptionist Madhuri is very arrogant too. She only give attention to celebrities coz they pay extra. She is very rude. She only wants money, after that she dnt even care about her patients. Please dnt go there. The worst doctor, the worst staff, nd the worst clinic ever i hv seen. Bodysutra

                  Dear Sir/Madam,

                  I had taken my father to Dr.L.H Hiranandani Hospital for his treatment related to urology on 9th Oct’09. Based on Dr.Deepak Gupte (Consultant, Urology, Dr.L.H Hiranandani Hospital) pre-investigation of my father, he had recommended to get admitted for further treatment.

                  I would like to share my experience in the hospital which looks nightmare to me whenever I just thought about it.

                  1. On 10th Oct’09 they investigated my father whole day due to which he could not take his regular medicine which he takes during day time, so the available RMO had given Nine tablets + one intra venous injection and one liquid syrup all at the same time in the night which had made my father to suffer a lot, he started shivering so much that it was not in my control, and no doctors to support him, we couldn’t understand what could be the reason of such shivering. Such carelessness they have shown in the hospital who always thinks for making money from the insurance company nothing more than that. My father has cardiac problem and just imagine if anything wrong would have happened then…

                  3. I observed hospital was doing all investigation of my father but never discussed with us about the reports, what would be their next plan etc. Dr.Deepak Gupte always telling us from the day first, your father case is very critical, it is not easy to operate etc etc.

                  4. Dr.Deepak Gupte used to visit our room daily for hardly 5 to 10 secs and never discussed about the patient conditions and whenever we used to ask him, he told we’ll discuss later. For every small visit he has billed us heavy amount. Such a careless and money minded doctor I have never seen. Till last day he didn’t discuss how he is going to operate the patient, what is his plan etc. He was referring to unnecessary doctors who were adding good money in the bill.

                  5. When all the reports came and when we tried to discuss Dr.Deepak Gupte about his next plan, he again started telling it’s a critical case though reports were not so bad which we can read in the reports. Then we realized this doctor is unnecessary making the case critical and want to make money out of it. They don’t bother whether patient how old he is and how much care does he need.

                  6. My father was not comfortable with the attitude of the doctor, we decided we’ll not go for the operation in this hospital. So when we had asked them to discharged us, then hospital head Mr.Shetty started shouting on us saying without operation you cannot go, they were forcing us for the operation. Hospitals administration harassed us very rudely and misbehaved us.

                  7. Initially Medi assist had sent an approval of Rs.65,000/- and our bill was coming 49,000/- but they were not reliving my father from the hospital who also suffered very badly due to non co-operation of all the hospital staff and violated the rights of information’s.


                  So in future such type of hospital should be debarred from the list of our authorized hospitals and no money should be given to them by hook or crook.

                  This I am informing you as a moral duty from my side, because my all family members are insured in your company. I will be the happiest person from my side if any enquiry is needed from your side in future.

                  I sanjay kumar thakur peresentely working in Ranbaxy laboratories ltd paontasahib, my father Shri-Deo kant thakur was refer to Ram janki arogya niketan hospital near radio station darbhanga bihar refer by Dr- U.K.BISWAS rajkumar ganj darbhanga admited from 04/09/201 to 09/09/2010.as a i have claium for mediclaim & some quires have occurred during the process . With the motive the solving this my wife have attanded the hospital& doctore cleninc from last 05 days. but doctore & hospital not responded &requred documents were not provided.

                    Respected Sir/Madam,


                    I am One of the oldest account holder of SBI (Kalyan West branch). My Grandfather was also a A/C holder of the same bank. But, since some years I am observing that the staff (including all specially Cashiers & home Loan Staffs) of this branch is not supporting the customers. Their behaviour is also not good. Concerned persons for related jobs are always tells that their is more work load but we found that they are sitting relaxed. Please take some action for this type of staffs.I think they don't understand that they are getting their salary because of the "CUSTOMER''. They think we must have to beg them for loans. The bank Manager is also same.
                    Please do something for us.

                      We were issued a wrong medicine by the pharmist and the reason given was its a same salt. My child has not been cured and I had to pay for doctors fee again to get another review done.

                      The hospital's attitude was alarming as they just didn't care abt the wrong medicine and its impact or lack of it and continued to maintain its a correct salt while the doctor kept on contraditing them.
