[Resolved] ICICI Bank — denied to update my communication address, however has done for other customers
I visited the icici bank bannerghatta road, bannerghatta road, next to shivsagar, 560076 on[protected]. I had a valid registered rental agreement with me and i requested my communication address to be changed. For my permanent address i have aadhaar card with me.
I do not have any other valid local address proof. How can a bank expect a bachelor to have any other local address proof. I spoke to the customer service executive and she told me that i need to change my aadhaar card address first. I spoke to the deputy general manager he also bluntly denied to update my communication address. Why should i change my aadhaar card address? Out of annoyance, i said the deputy general manager that i would close my account. To this he said i am most welcome to do so.
I am operating this account for more than 8 years. I want immediate action against the customer service executive and the deputy general manager. The bank updates the communication address if the account is more than 6 months old by just asking for pan card and valid signature. Then why did you decline in my case. If my communication address is not updated, i will file an rti and find out for how many customers they have updated communication address just by submission of pan card.
