On [Date 13th jan 24], I had made a train reservation for [Train Name/Number 12294] departing from PRYG prayagraj to LTT Unfortunately, due to the sudden onset of COVID-19 symptoms, I was unable to undertake the journey as scheduled. In light of this, I immediately initiated the Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR) process through the Maine railway website to request a refund for the unused ticket.
However, to my dismay, my TDR request no[protected] was rejected by Indian Railway. The reason provided for the rejection was that the TDR process was not initiated at least 4 hours before the train departure. I would like to clarify that I consulted my healthcare professional to understand the necessary steps to be taken in such circumstances. Unfortunately, I was not aware of the specific timeline within which the TDR process needed to be initiated.
Considering the unforeseen circumstances and the genuine reason behind my inability to initiate the TDR process within the stipulated time frame, I kindly request you to reconsider my case and process the refund for the unused ticket. I understand that Indian Railway has its policies and procedures, but I sincerely hope that you will take into account the exceptional circumstances surrounding this situation.
I have attached all the relevant documents, including my train ticket, medical certificate, and any other supporting documents, for your reference and verification. I would be grateful if you could review my case and refund the applicable amount at your earliest convenience.
