[Resolved] Indian Railways — NON ISSUE OF RECEIPT FOR EXCESS FARE | |||
I traveled in Tippu express train on 09.12.14 from Mysore to Bangalore and incidently occupied a seat in a reservation compartment. (Though there was no mention of it being reservation compartment and it was almost empty) But a person in tte uniform came in and started checking the tickets and collected Rs.15.00 as excess fare for sitting in res. compartment.bur never issued a receipt. On questioning about the receipt, he said single receipt will be issued for some 10 passengers for his convenience and he did give me a receipt after some time showing amount as Rs.330-00. (SWR Rt. No.386566. If this is an authorized collection, I like to say that this is not a fool proof system because one need not write a receipt for the whole money he collects. Please find some remedy for it, may be by issuing small tickets like the one a bus conductor issues. Jose K P 017.
