Indian Railways — Refund denied on waiting ticket | |||
I had booked a ticket from Lucknow to Bhopal for 21 May 2017 in 1AC, train no.12533 (Pushpak Express) and PNR no.[protected] and[protected] under the names Rajeev Gupta, Geetu Gupta and Shlok Gupta. Even after the chart was prepared, the seats were not confirmed. Due to this reason, I sent my employee for cancelling the ticket. Because o[censored]nnao tragedy, that took place on 21 May 2017, there was huge crowd on all the counters of Lucknow station. According to the clerk, my employee could not reach the counter on stipulated time even when he was standing in the queue and hence clerk did not refund my ticket amount and handed him a No Refund Copy of the ticket. When my seats were not confirmed even after the chart was prepared then how can railway deny paying me and did not refund my ticket money. Was this information helpful? | |||
