PNR Number [protected] Train diverted and does not touch Madgaon on[protected]
On reaching Madgaon station at 1 PM on 08-Mar-2022, we were informed that train Jana Shatabdi Exp has been diverted and will not touch Madgaon station, instead it will start from Thivim station. TTE informed me that since this is the iTicket, it will get cancelled automatically and I will get the refund automatically, Hence I purchased fresh ticket in Mumbai Express [ Ticket PNR[protected]] leaving at 7:20 pm from Madgaon, I and my family spent whole day in station till 7:40 pm waiting for the next train.
How can Railways repudiate the refund for diverted train which does not touch the boarding station?
Railways also failed to inform me well in advance about technical issue and due that that train was scheduled to be started from THIVIM instead of MADGAON station.
At 02:22 PM, I received an SMS as below:
Due to technical reason, TRN No 12052 does not touch your station MAO on 08.03.2022. Kindly check NTES/139 before starting your journey.
whereas, scheduled time of departure of Janashatabdi Exp from Madgaon was 02:40 PM
On the IRCTC app, it was showing, This halt has been deleted from the train route.
I have the screen shot, if required, I will share it
Please verify again and refund total amount for the journey not travelled by Jana Shatabdi Exp on[protected]
