Indian Railways — too much rush in reserved compartments.

I'm travelling
I'm travelling 12368 vikramshila express from patna to bhagalpur with a reserved ticket. As i entered in the compartment i found 5 people already seated in my reserved seat and they were not willing to get up till i got the tte intervene into the matter. I was given space in which
I can hardly sit. Throughout the
Journey people with general ticket or no ticket kept on entering the compartment and the tte was hardly bothered. Why am i even paying indian railways for a reserved seat when
I can't travel comfortably.
