[Resolved] Indian Railways — Unwanted FIne Collection
Myself K S Akhilkrishna ([protected]) and RIshab P Nambiar 1st students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was travelling from Shornur Junction to Vadakara. We had a reservation ticket in the Kannur Executive (PNR: [protected]). Since we reached the railway station earlier than we expected we boarded the Coimbatore-Kannur Memu. I came to know that a ticket in the executive train is valid for a local train. But the TT of the Coimbatore-Kannur Memu asked us to pay a fine of 400 from myself and 350 from Rishab P Nambiar. He also insulted us in front of the other passenger which made us really uncomfortable through out the journey. This was the really bad experience that I have ever faced from the IRCTC. The behavior of the TT created a mental breakdown among us. I am attaching the photo of the receipts given by the TT and the screenshot of our reserved seats in the Kannur Executive Express. I hope we will get the full refund of the money from the IRCTC.
