The Indigo airlines allow 7KG hand luggage including the laptop. It doesn't make any sense at all. A typical laptop weighs ~2KG, the laptop bag, power cards and other smaller items weigh another 2KG. Then the carry on luggage itself weighs 2 to 3KGs, this means, a passenger can carry only empty bag as carry-on luggage in Indigo airlines. It's an universal norm for allowing a personal item along with the carry-on bag. All other airlines I traveled in India allows a personal item (seems like Spicejet is also having similar policy). I contacted the airline, they are very clear that that's their policy. I believe it's against the consumers. After paying Rs.4000 to Rs.16000 for 1 hour 20 minute flight, it's unjustifiable to pay another Rs.1000. I have written this to DGCA (one of their email: [protected]@dgca.nic.in bounced, haven't received any reply on other id: cvo.[protected]@nic.in). Kindly suggest me who else i can contact. I would also really appreciate anyone gone thro' this, write a note to DGCA. thanks Was this information helpful? |
