Subject: Flight Cancellation That Ruined Our Family Vacation
Our family had eagerly planned a much-anticipated vacation to Gujarat, booking our trip well in advance for 6th to 17th December 2025. As working professionals, our opportunities for such cherished getaways are rare and precious.
According to the plan, all the hotel bookings at different locations and cab bookings were made. All the flight and hotel bookings were made from ‘Make My Trip’.
However, due to the cancellation of flight no. 6E-961 dated 6th December’25 from Kolkata to Ahmedabad operated by Indigo, we had to abandon our trip. Post which we had pressed a request for cancellation of all bookings made – airline, hotel, and cab. On cancellation of most of our bookings, we got a refund without any cancellation charges, but still, there were a few bookings that attracted cancellation charges.
As almost all bookings were made from the ‘Make My Trip’ site, the authenticity of my statement can be cross-checked from them.
I have suffered financial loss of Rs.15, 863/- which Indigo should reimburse.
Apart from the above, the spoiling of our vacation being priceless has to be adequately compensated.
