[Resolved]  Indigo Airlines — international flight missed due to excessive delay in flight

I was supposed to travel from Guwahati to Kolkata (6E572) and Kolkata to Mumbai (6E961) with my mother on 12/06/19 (PNR: UJP4HA) as we had to catch an international flight to Mauritius. Our Kolkata to Mumbai flight was scheduled at 9:30 PM and we were supposed to reach Mumbai by 12:30 AM on 13/06/19. When we reached Kolkata airport, we came to know that the flight had been rescheduled to 10:35 PM due to some delay. The airline officials then informed that the flight had been further delayed to 11:25 due to ATC in Mumbai. Then the schedule was further delayed to 12:15. When we didn't get a call for boarding, I inquired again with the officials and at that time the told me that the flight had been diverted to Guwahati and would be leaving by 2:00 AM. Finally the flight took off at 4:35 AM. In all this chaos, I missed my international flight and have had to incur losses to the tune of over Rs. 60, 000 as I have had to re-book tickets for the next day. The officials could easily have arranged for alternate flights during this course of time to ensure that the passengers reach their destination earlier. But in spite of repeated requests by all the passengers, they did not do anything. This has not only caused me financial losses but also a lot of mental harassment. Hence, I demand to be compensated for my losses.
