[Resolved] Indigo Airlines — not allowed to board the flight even after reaching on time | |
I was travelling from Bangalore to Kolkata on June 15, 2019 via indigo flight 6e-713, 4:55 am departure.. I Reached the boarding gates On time and it was told to me that gates are closed and boarding is not allowed.. the indigo staff how conveniently told to take the next flight by paying 1500. When I reach the counter for reservation, I’m told that there are no flights to Kolkata till afternoon and whichever was the next flight, I need to pay the cost of the new ticket if immediate reservation is required..This for sure looks like a money making business. Verified Support Jun 19, 2019 IndiGo Customer Care's response Hi Alisha, We understand missing a flight could be upsetting. However, to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, we have to follow certain protocols like closing the boarding gate before 25 mins of flight departure. Sadly, you had reported at 0433 hrs for the flight scheduled to depart at 0455 hrs. Hence we were unable to allow you onboard. Further, in order to save you from losing the entire ticket amount paid for the booking, our airport team offered re-accommodation on the next available flight with minimum charges, which was denied by you.
