I have booked Aizawl-to-Kolkata IndiGo flight tickets a week before last week for the 17th of May, 2022 at ixigo.com for my uncle, his daughter and son. Since I got his son's name wrong and airline could not change his name for me, I cancelled one ticket meant for his son and booked a seperate ticket for the same day!
Then the day of the flight came and the weather wasn't very favourable for flying. So all flights that day got cancelled and everyone went back home. After I was notified about this, because the flight tickets weren't automatically cancelled by IndiGo Airlines, I initiated cancellation at ixigo.com (where I booked the Indigo flight tickets) with PNR number of BW92KT i.e., Aizawl-Kokkata flight. Later i checked the refund status at Ixigo.com. And it read that the cancellation was rejected by IndiGo Airlines because i have selected the wrong reason for cancellation of the flight. I chose "Flight cancelled by airline" or something akin to that. I called up Ixigo customer care and inquired why this was so. They told me i had to contact IndiGo Airlines for the same.
So I called up IndiGo Airlines again for flight BW92KT and asked them why they rejected the cancellation. I guess they just wanted to have it their way! They cancelled it for me and told me we will receive the refund within 7 days since date of cancellation! Well its been well over 7 days and still we have received no refund! The last time I contacted the Airline, they told me I would definitely receive the refund on 23rd May, 2022. That was some nerve! Nothing came! A big no show!
I have previously submitted a complaint about how I was received by IndiGo helpline! Ut wasn't very cordial. I didn't like it! They have some explaining to do. Was this information helpful? |
