Our luggage was removed and we got to know about that after reaching the destination. They said that luggage will reach port blair the next day at 7:50 in the morning but according to our itinerary we had to move to havelock on that day. They promised that our luggage will reach havelock by 1 via makruzz cruises. But they missed that cruise and sent it on the next cruise. We recieved it at 4:00 pm. The fact that our luggage was unloaded off the plane was known to the crew while we were still in kolkata and they spilled the beans in port blair. Also, i have realised that the plane had carried more cargo than passenger luggage which left most of the people without bags. Why this unprofessionalism? Our itinerary was ruined. The bags had medicines and our belongings and we are left without clothes in an island far away from home. We had to buy emergency medicines, pairs of clothes, and other items just to get through the 35 hours. We had paid a lot for the trip only to find indigo ferrying cargo rather than baggage. I will let people know of this unprofessionalism all across social media travel forums so that people so not go through this again. The indigo staff at port blair had told us that it happens quite a lot and we see that the company has been destroying expensive travel plans through their unprofessional behaviour. As a consumer, i had done my duty of not exceeding baggage weight limit, reaching on time, following all rules and most importantly paying through our nose for flight tickets only for them to transport a hundred boxes of cargo than passenger luggage to port blair. Shameful. Was this information helpful? |
