I purchased a ₹1500 JioMart gift card and used ₹117 for an order which later got cancelled. ₹117 was refunded to my wallet, but the remaining ₹1383 was blocked without warning.
At no point was I informed (via pop-up, T&C, or instructions) that gift cards must be used in full in a single transaction. This critical clause was hidden or absent, making this an unfair practice.
My grievance was registered with NCH (Ref: #7348475), and I have also reported the issue to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
JioMart’s customer care closed the complaint without even responding directly to my queries. This is not just about me — many customers are facing the same issue with gift cards getting voided unfairly.
