I `ve purchased lion dates (seedless),200gm from MORE located at 104 Area, Vizag on 25 Oct 10.After opening the pack we found live insects in all dates. This was horrifying as it is a food product and we could have easily consumed it without checking on assumption of expiry date. It is sad to inform you that the belief of your company product has gone and I would rather purchase local dates from footpath which are far better from your lavishly consealed box containing insects wrapped by dates.
I believe that there are some type of management or supervisors to take enough care and precaution when you pack such items. If not, I would request you to wake up and act accordingly.
Also pls take neccassary action.

I have got LION DATES 500gm BOX on Sep 2010 [100 gram is free with it] . The pack was manufactured on AUG 2010 and the expiry Date is JAN 2011 [Best before 6 months from the MFD]. Still 5 months are more to become the pack/Dates gets expired. When I opened the Box, I shocked to see the live insects moving. That pack has the individual [separate-separate] dates with seed. I transferred the whole content into a Plate and I tried to open one single piece of dates. I found , lots of eggs in it and few worms also in other dates. Its really awkward to see like this.

How could the well esteemed organisation do like this ? Where is the quality??? They are advertising in the TVs ... Instead of spending money in the advertisements, let them better to spend on the quality.. I am really disappointed to see... Money waste.. Its happening second time for me :( .. Government should cancel their license ...

They are really worst.. I guess, Quality control people are sleeping in the office.. WORST FELLOWS

I have Purchased 2 (TWO) one (1) Kg Lion dates syrup bottles from one our Big Bazaar Branch, Ameerpet. On 28th March 2010 and on 01st April 2010 respectively.

Today I have opened one of my 1 KG bottle which is having the Manufacturing date March 2010/F115,41 and all of sudden, syrup over flowed from the bottle and same was stored in one bowel (it has come up like beer).

At this movement I would like to log a complaint on this.

This is for you information and for necessary action.

and also I want you people to replace the same.

i purchased LION DESEEDED DATES of 200gms packet with mfg date : jan2010,
BA no.D411 in spencer's super market, villivakkam on 20/03/2010.
after opening the packet at home i found the dates are with full of insects, which are usually found in rice bags.I immidietly detailed the written complaint in spencer's.They offered me to exchange the packet, I rejected their request and want to take this to the notice of government.I even noticed that the product's registration is pending.

I bought a packet of Lion Dates one week ago. The cover showed the manufacturing date is Jan 2010. But when we opened it, small insects were running in it. And moreover it was not fresh and pure.Locally packed dates are available in the market for cheap rate. since the people think a company product is good they are buying the product by giving high price. If the company is not ensuring the quality for the product how can it be used as a health supplement ?

I bought lion dates yesterday. It was found with a lot of insects. just now i found a lot of complaints like this. I dont think the company has taken steps to resolve this problem. Hope i get reply for atleast this. I ve now decided not to buy lion products any more.

I purchased Lion dates from Spencers in M.M.D. A. Colony, There were small insects in the dates. I made a complaint to the consumer care division of the company on 6th december 2009. I have not received any communication from them and the action taken by the company. The date of manufacture was September 2009 and the batch no, was D 607....

Dear Sir,
I had purchased Lion Dates from M/s.Saraswathi departmental stores, 181-C, Trichy Road, Sulur, Coimbatore - 641 402.on 06 Nov.2009. Where I regularly purchase and consume.

While purchase I always notice the expiry period and the date before use. In the above aspect while i removed the pack of the lion dates i saw small insects found in the pack and i astonished while seeing it.

It is a branded product itself maintains this poor quality, how the consumers are would buy the same product next time! Kindly give me the feed back in this connection.

We are Shocked by seeing lot of Insects in 500gm Seedles Pack B.No D705 with Mfg Date Aug 2009 MRP Rs55/.We have purchased in the third week of Nov 2009 and complaint register at Retail shop on 30th Nov 2009 and Regt office of Lion Dates and Mfg Factory ..No Prompt action.How this can be a ISO Certified Company

The Dates i bought is full of germs and warms.IT is packed on oct 09 the usage time of the product is before 4 months but how the product gets affected within 4 months.How people can trust and buy a standard product.Every one is trusting the product for the standard,U people are betraying the customer.
How the hell u can pack the product without any quality check .what the team is doing? are they all sleeping? I need the response from ur side

I bought 200g lion dates with batch no. k105 on 24th Aug 2009 from a retailer in order to provide this as a health supplement for my pregnant wife. I was shocked and furious to find one live insect running inside the container when I opened it and at the same time, my wife was chewing one of the dates from the container and was about to swallow it. How can an ISO 9001:2000 company like LION DATES IMPEX PVT LTD., can do this. My wife has developed an aversion towards dates because of this. I am planning to move this matter to Consumer court complaining about the insect and complaining about the accredited certification bodies who has provided ISO 9001:2000 status. please advice.

This mail is to make a complaint against Lion Dates, Trichy, TamilNadu.

It has been observed that the dates repacked by this comapany are spoiled and alive worms have been reported since April 2009. I myself observed alive worms TWICE. Once packet was purchased from Bangalore and another was purchased from Trichy (Batch no.D603), TamilNadu.

These dates are consumed by Childrens and Pregnent Womens. This is an ISO 9000 company and NO ACTION has been taken for the past 4 months. so BEWARE of LION DATES.

I wanted all the people to know about this so that no life is lost by consumption of these spoiled food.

This is Madhu.I frequently used to buy Lion Dates Products.I compulsary take the Lion dates in my daily life.
Last week, I bought Lion dates products, especially "Lion Deseeded Dates"(Mfd date:july-2009).While i was opened the pack bunch of worms coming out from it.Really i was stunned.I couldn't expected that.I believe that, The lion dates products are Fresh, Good and Genuine.But, why it was occured.

Now i am scaring a lot to buy those Products.Please take necessary actions on it.

I have purchased 500 gram seedless dates on 21.06.09 from SAFAL DAILY FRESH, Whitefield, Bangalore. The dates have been given to my daughter of age 9 as well as I too consumed on 22.06.09 night. On 23.06.09 she had vomiting and fever. We were scrutinizing why she had sudden vomiting and fever and could not find the reason.

On 23.06.09 night my wife opened the Date fruit box to provide me some dates and found that lot of worms and insects inside the box. We came to understand that the spoiled dates are the reason for my daughters health issue.

On 24.06.09 ( Today morning) I have taken the box to SAFAL DAILY FRESH and explained the quality issue of the dates. The stores manager checked all the boxes and all the sealed boxes were found with insects and worms. This is not only found in 500 gram seedless box and it was found different varieties of packages. All the boxes are with in the validity period. You can telephone and verify the information from Safal market.

I have taken photograph of the insect and video coverage of the insects found in the box for proof.
