Complaint:

I am filing this complaint against Livpure Smart Homes for their negligence, lack of proper customer service, and unjust legal threats.

Due to an emergency, I had to permanently move back to Kolkata, and I left Bangalore on 30th May 2024. One full week prior to leaving, I had informed Livpure via email, phone call to arrange for the pickup of the RO unit and end my subscription. I also requested a refund of the security deposit, since I was permanently moving and not continuing the service.

Despite multiple reminders and calls, Livpure failed to pick up the product on time. In between that time a man called (From livpure) and threatening me to return the product or we will send legal notice, after that their pickup agent messaged on April 18, 2025 (almost a year later) when I was no longer in Bangalore, and then accused me of not cooperating. I even sent emails on April 16, 2025, clearly explaining the entire situation. Still, I did not receive any genuine support or resolution from their side.

Instead, on 3rd July 2025, I received a legal demand notice accusing me of defaulting on payments and threatening criminal legal action under IPC Section 406, which is completely unfair, unethical, and emotionally distressing. I have proof that I tried to coordinate the pickup well in advance, and even raised concern about the deposit refund on May 24, 2024, for which they replied vaguely and didn't resolve anything.

This kind of harassment by Livpure after their own service failure and inaction is completely unacceptable. I had no intention of misusing the product or avoiding return. I acted responsibly, informed them on time, and still they failed to take timely action.

I am now requesting the following:

Immediate cancellation of any false claims or legal threats against me.

Official closure of my Livpure account and subscription.

A formal apology for the mental stress and inconvenience caused.

I have attached screenshots and documents as proof of my communication with Livpure (email replies, WhatsApp chats, and the demand notice).

Livpure’s conduct is in violation of basic consumer rights, and I request the Consumer Forum to take strict action against such service lapses and intimidation tactics.
