Mega Cabs — taxi driver misconduct

I had the scariest taxi ride of my life this afternoon. I took an airport taxi (Mega cabs, registration no.: ka 50 a 6209) from bengaluru airport around 12:15 hrs, the destination was malleswaram. I am living in bengaluru for more than a year, and have been availing airport taxi from the stand outside arrival hall at kia every time i travel.

5 minutes outside the airport, and the cab driver took a sudden left turn to a deserted way without using a way; on both sides of the road there were only construction sites, a woman alone was sitting inside the cab, and she knew it was not the correct route, and one can perhaps imagine how scary it could be. I shouted and asked why he was taking that way (In hindi), a very rude reply came (In hindi): "mujhe rasta maloom hain, yeh rasta highway pe jaata hain". I told (In hindi): "airport se seedha rasta bhi toh highway pe jata hain toll gate hoke"; once again, a rude answer: "airport pe jam hain".

10 minutes drive on that deserted road, i started believing that my life would end at any moment, the car reaches the highway. Surprised surprised, a little after the toll gate. So, the cab never crossed the toll gate, did he want to avoid it?!. Right on reaching the highway, the driver pulls up the glasses (Only for the rear windows); surprised surprised, no ac on.

Around 13:00 hrs, reached the destination, paid the amount, wrote an email complaint to mega cabs, called them over phone. I was too scared to collect the bill, which i should have done.

13:45 hrs: mega cabs changes the complaint to a feedback, and asks for a contact no. To collect more details. Once again, requested them to realize the importance of the matter. No response so far (17:45 hrs).

Demanding strict action.

In continuation to my complaint lodged yesterday, I received a call from Mega Cabs this morning (+91-[protected]) at 09:22 hrs. The representative informed me that the cab has been blocked, and strict action would be taken against the driver, and that the toll fee would be returned. They also took my mobile number linked to Paytm. She mentioned that I would be informed about the action by the evening in writing. Till now, no email received, and no message from Paytm also about any credit.

I wonder why MegaCabs needs so much time to act against such a serious issue!
