June 2 - venu rajamony - overcharging by drive

I had called customer care and on their advised submitted a written complaint about overcharging by driver and non receipt of the invoice for a ride I took from Delhi international airport to Noida Sector 14 on June 2. I received an acknowledgment of my complaint and I was promised immediate action. But, my several reminders hence has not produced a response nor has the invoice come.

I had Booking number DL[protected], today. Dr8ver told me bill amount is RS 850 ..trusting him I gave the same in cash
Now I saw thr actual amount is Rs. 782.86 .can a customer not trust a mega driver on the bill amount?

    I had booking number DL[protected], today. The driver told me bill is 850..trust8ng him I gave the cash... but now I see the bill amount is Rs. 782.86 . Can a customer not even trust mega driver that he will be telling the correct bill

      I took a ride from Bangalore airport to Jakkur on 11th Dec 2022 early morning, on Taxi # KA50A6300. No cab service people were at their taxi counter(s) at the airport. So I had to stand in line for airport taxi and got this cab. As soon as I sat and mentioned my destination, the driver called up someone and told them my location and said he has to get back to airport - empty or whatever. So looks like at the start itself the cab service has initiated manipulating the bill for charging extra for his ride back. On completing the trip, apart from the actual fare calculated as per the boarding time, I got charged for the toll (it's not a rule for cab services to charge for toll tax), as well as 120 rupees extra. This was new and the driver said I have to pay what's in the bill. I spoke to the customer service. Also spoke to the cab service manager/supervisor at the airport. Both of them and the cab driver insisted that these are parking charges to be borne by the customer. This is absolutely unheard of. Each party was pushing the issue asking me to talk to other party saying these are regular charges, and I have to pay now and can talk to customer service later. I knew I wouldn't get back the extra amount and this is a bad practice. I spoke to the customer service next day and asked what the charges would be on a weekend at the same time I had taken the cab - initially I was told the lesser amount (minus 120) and when I asked why I was charged more, the CSR spoke to someone and gave the same response as parking charges- it shows as Trip charges in the bill. Now I am unable to reach them as they seem to have blocked me. I would request a refund of the extra amount - 120 + the toll charges, or at least the 120 additional charges.

        I traveled today from my residence to Bangalore Airport by Mega cabs starting at 5AM. It was mentioned by the company that they will charge a flat rate of Rs 999 for the trip apart from toll.
        Driver ignored this and charged Rs1515.
        It’s disappointing and definitely make us not to use Mega Cabs in future e

          Dear Mega Cabs Team,
          It is quite disturbing to bring to your kind notice that I rode vehicle no KA 04 AG 6185 on 18.11.2022 vide Booking no BN[protected]. For this trip, an invoice no BN[protected] was generated.
          In this invoice, a toll tax of INR 105.00 is added fraudulently despite the fact that there was no toll tax paid by the aforesaid taxi driver during the route followed for my trip. Secondly, the driver refused to start his GPS device despite my frequent requests taking the pretext that the location was known to him. Thirdly, he had neither the facility to accept digital payment nor the exact change.
          Fourthly, I was lured by your people outside Bengaluru airport that a charge of INR 1300/- or less would be required. Whereas, the actual bill was INR 1448.38 and I had to pay the driver INR 20/- more as he took the excuse of not having change.
          While all the above 4 points need your immediate attention, the first point is a very serious fraud and needs immediate correction in my case by ensuring a prompt refund of the wrongly charged Toll Tax of INR 105.00. This may be verified easily at your end using various devices and methods.
          On the contrary, It was heartening to note that during my return trip from ITI Bhawan to Bengaluru Airport in the evening, I rode Uber and they charged INR 105.00 less than the estimate shown at the time of booking because the driver had not followed the route involving Toll Tax.
          Please resolve my complaint by refunding the wrongly charged toll tax amount of INR 105.00 at the earliest and confirm the action taken against people and systems involved to avoid recurrence of such instances with other customers. Please write back, if any further details are required from my end. Thanks

            I have never used mega cabs never heard of it but from today I am making calls to my friend on the same network which we use usually to talk, is diverting to mega cab IVR. Not able to understand what is happening.

                    Yesterday (27/06/21 night 22:00) booked one airport taxi (Mega cab) from KIAL to Bagalur cross (Dwarakanagar). Before ride we spoke about the charges & destination (₹850). From Bagalur cross to dwarakanagar it takes hardly 1 km. Due to some road maintenance i told driver to take next road, but he denied & stop the ride there and tell us to get down He was Rude as well. He was asking for ₹900. Small raining was there We get down there and walked almost more than 500 meters with luggages.

                          I hd hired a cab today at 9.15 pm from chandigarh airport to Sector 44A, chandigarh. The fare told to me was 650₹ out of which 600 as paid at the counter and rest 50 was to be paid to the driver . However, the driver asked 85/- which was the parking fees. Also, driver wanted to take an unauthorised, short cut route and i had to literally quarrel to ask him to take the main route. Highly disappointed on this unprofessionalism displayed by Mega cabs. Never expected this. White colour Alto number 7650. Need a resolution

                            After arriving at KIA Bengaluru, i asked a mega cab assistant about rates for travel and he said 19.50 rupees. Then i checked in google maps, the total distance was coming 18km and so i agreed to go with cab. He talked to a cab driver and told us to go with it. I was traveling with KA 50 A 5059 cab now from KIA arrivals, at around 1530 hrs. And i realised the driver was not running on meter, upon asking he started arguing and denied from using meter. At the Airport exit checkpoint he made some excuse to show booking details to the sentry. Then he tried to take more money for tolls also and finally he did not even completed the trip. He dropped us at the bus stop of my area, 1km away from my home. All the way he was arguing for more money, there was no hint of proper behaviour.
                            The driver and the airport cab assistant person have formed a racket to cheat new users. Such people have become criminal minded.
                            He has taken 150 rupees extra from me. And such drivers license should be suspended, untill they learn their lessons

                              I made booking via make my trip, and all was paid for.

                              On the day of my trips, i got a call from mega cabs and asked me if the driver had called me, and i replied no. Next minute i got a call from cab2, for location at the same time cab 1 also called.

                              I called mega cabs and told them this way before the pickup (Recorded)

                              On time of pickup both the cab drivers came to pick me up. Jumped into cab 2. Then cab one was calling me as well as mega cab people. This continue for 30 minutes. The cab 2 driver made me pay extra rs 800 to him as he said that there was a confusion. The way he drove i was scared for my life. He was very rough. I

                              I complained to make my trip and the mega cab people said that i was picked up. Yes i was but they did not get a feedback on my trip on cab2.

                              I am really disappointed over this. It not about the money but the manner they handled it by mega cabs

                                  I took a mega cab from bangalore international airport to yeshvantpura railway station on 07 february 2020. First of all the driver was trying to switch off the air conditioner while on the way, even after charging fare for a ac taxi. At the end of the trip, the driver was asking us to give rs. 900 without even giving the receipt. After asking for receipt several times, the receipt showed an amount of rs. 872.95, but still he was asking to give rs. 900 again and again. After wasting our few minutes, arguing with us, he rudely agrees and still gave rs. 20 back instead of rs. 27. The number of vehicle was ka-50-a-6209.
                                  Even though rs. 28 is a very small amount, but the impression these people are creating in tourist’s mind about their city and state is pathetic. They are spoiling the image of their own city by harrasing the tourists.

                                    Driver took me from dhaula kunwa whereas he should have taken from airport to mahipalpur flyover crossing while going to gurgaon.                                       Hi sir/madam,

                                      My mega cabs booking ref. No. Am[protected] at 04:15 am on[protected] from batala road, amritsar. My cab no. Was ch02aa8557 and driver's name was satnam singh with cell no. [protected].

                                      My complaint is that my cab driver was quite rude and he reached on pick-up location 15 minutes before time. Still, he was in a hurry and not ready to find a pick-up location. He was scolding me when i was helping him to find my location. When i reached my destination he was still in a hurry and said my mother to go out from cab quickly. She can't walk quickly so i felt bad for her and i was a bit angry with cab driver but i said nothing to him. I reached my destination very early. He also asked me for 170 rs. Even my cab charges were 167 rs.

                                      It was my first experience with mega cabs and it was the worst experience i ever saw by a cab driver. If he is not ready for an early drive so why he is doing this job. I will never suggest anyone mega cabs.
