Michelin India — tyre complaint | |||||
Dear sir/madam, I am using 9 car tyres of your company, 5 in my honda brv and 4 in my honda amaze. Recently, while i was travelling in ahmedabad, gujarat on airport road, my tyre developed a crack (Front left tyre). I was driving at a speed of 40kmph on a very smooth surface on airport road. I logged an online complaint with your dealer in bopal, ahmedabad vide complaint no: clgj[protected] and got the tyre inspected. Today i recd a report stating that my complaint is rejected and i will not get any replacement. I talked to your mr. Amit chowdhry and he told me to text the complaint no. Post that i got a report rejecting replacement of my tyre (On whats app). I called him again, but, he did not entertain my calls. I request you to replace my tyre at the earliest. I got a call from [protected] informing me that I had registered a complaint with Michelin and they are ready to transfer an amount equal to the cost of the tyre ( approx Rs 6300) online to me. The caller told me that he is calling from consumer office Mumbai. Once I get the amount, I will have to handover the defective tyre to the local dealer. He insisted on getting my debit card number. I gave him the number. Then he asked me to give the card expiry date, I hesitantly gave that as well. Then he asked me to give the CVV number . I got suspicious that the caller is a fraud and did not provide my CVV number and disconnected the line. A few minutes later I got a call from the same number asking for the OTP code that I had recdon my number. I checked my sms and found that I had got an OTP for an amount of Rs 24999. I immediately disconnected the line. Had I shared the OTP code, I would have got a debit of Rs 24999 from this guy.
I t appears that they use the information on this platform to cheat the innocent customers. I request all to be careful with these cheaters and do not entertain their calls or do not pass on your debit card details, card expiry date and CVV number to them under any circumstances.
Regards,
Rakesh Bhat
