Sir,
30th sep, 2016 am purchased a nikon dslr from great eastern trading co. Siliguri. Camera details - d 3300 slr still camera (Sl no -3547/7887/3281) tax invoice no - 29 / sa /1617 /07039. Invoice date[protected] vat no - [protected]. On nikon website and inside kit box i noticed i am supposed to get 16 gb wifi sd card and trypod. But while contacted representatives concerned said nikon is not providing these.
Nikon India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

      I bought this top of the line DSLR from Nikon DSLR Zone in Kolkata on 14/05/2016. In the subsequent trip in Africa, the camera goes through absolutely normal usage but I noticed the top LCD is broken and then observed the back cover seal is having hairline gap. When I took it to service centre they even refuse to take warranty card and without looking into it blatantly said its a problem due to user handling and warranty doesn't cover it. I have been using DSLR for last 24 years and using Nikon for 20 years and used it always with care and never faced such situation. Later Nikon sent me snaps that the latch inside the body is broken due to some impact as they inferred but there is no apparent scratch or impact mark in outside body which clearly indicates the body is absolutely poorly built and can't withstand a normal usage impact that a camera should withstand at this price point. They repaired on chargeable basis and claimed 8715/- for repair charge on a product of 70000/- price sold merely a month back and fully under warranty just showing some flimsy ground and avoiding their responsibility as manufacturer. I want them to absorb the charge of repair and send an apology for this abject harassment to customers.

            I bought nikon d5100 four years back. Last month my sd card slot was not working, so i given it to authorized nikon service center in pune for repairing. On the same day, i got a call from the service center saying the sd card circuit was damaged and have to replace, which will cost around inr 8, 500.

            I refused to replace the circuit and collected my camera. Fortunately, i got one friend who knows camera repairing, he inspected and found some dust got stuck in the sd card slot and cleaned it up. Now my camera is working fine without any issue and without any cost.

            When i collected my camera, they charged me inr 230 for technical inspection fees. And the person (Anand soni) who spoke to me was not at all professional.

            Now question is:
            •is it really a authorized service center?
            •if they not able to find the root cause of the problem, then why they have charged technical inspection fees.

            Two months back, i had flash issue with my camera. Same i have given it repairing and charged me approx.Inr 3500 saying flash circuit was damaged. Now flash is not working properly at manual mode.

            How can i trust the authenticity of the service you are providing?

            And i will surely not recommend to the folks who come to me for suggestion.

            I have brought a promini silai machine through homeshop 18 online seller wasnikon systems private limited. on 6th july i received order on 13th july cd on how to use product was empty. machine worked 2 -3 times and then suddenly stopped working and no service is provided by the company .

              I purchased one Nikon L 310 Camera through Flipkart in 2012 for Rs.12000/- It stopped working. Took it to a Service man, he said that the Mother board is eaten up by some insects and it is damaged beyond repair and needs replacement which costs Rs.6000/- I have not taken even 500 shots from this Camera. It is well kept in the Camera Bag and kept in a cupboard. Then how insects will enter into the camera first without entering the cupboard and camera bag ? How can insecta enter into the Camera abd damage mother board. If this is the condition of a costly nikon camera, then where to keep the Camera ? When I took to the service point, he said that the Warranty is over and if it is repaired by the Company, it will cost dearer and advised to go to a good technician. Are these Companies like Nikkon is cheating their customers by not supplying insect proof Cameras. I think already there is eggs of the insects in the Camera when it is manufactured and it slowly breed into the Camera, because there is no chance to go any insects into the camera where I kept.                     My Father paid the price via debit card. The first time he entered his pin into the machine, no receipt was generated, but the amount (49k) got deducted from his account. The shopkeeper urged my father to trust him and that the money wasn't credited to his account and he must re pay. My father believed in him and repaid the whole amount again. This time the machine produced the receipt. he later checked his balance /transaction details online, and found that money was debited twice from his account as he suspected. He later called the owner/shopkeeper, to just ask him to show his credit details for that day, so that he could approach the bank with a proof. However, the shopkeeper rudely conversed and now for the last 4 days he is not attending the call.

                    A new development in the issue is, the shop-owner has finally provided my father the transaction details of his account of that day.
                    His account has been credited only once. But my father's account got debited twice.
                    So, it seems the fault is with SBI banking system.
                    It's been 2+ weeks, still the amount has not been credited back to my father's account.

                      Hi My name Chandan Parida and I have purchased one Nikon Camera model- Coolpix L29 and serial[protected] on[protected]invoice date) in the name of My wife Mrs. Priyanka Parida vide Order number OD[protected] from Flipkart Online Store. After delivery I found inherent defects of the camera regarding Camera flash same has been updated to both Nikon India and Flipkart. After several complaints finally flipkart had replaced the camera and issued new one of same model on[protected]invoice date) and serial number 11027499 and order ID is OD[protected]. Just after one month it was also started giving similar issues hence I have contacted Nikon India for assistance they have given technical support over the phone. This is happened twice or thrice within one year as I am using this camera occasionally. So hardly I have used it ¾ times in a year and every time it is having flash issue. Today[protected] I had called Nikon Customer care for the complaint of my camera, this particular model is having manufacturing defects hence we should refund the product cost or replace another model of same price because still it is in warranty. I have given 2 years of warranty for this camera. But surprisingly Nikon CC agent Ms. Sweta has declared that flipkart is not our authorized dealer. They are purchasing NIKON products which is treated as unauthorized dealer. We are not giving any solution for those products. Now Question is to you all parties of flipkart and Nikon that how one manufacturer is giving products to one unauthorized dealer who has no permission to sale the product?? How one dealer who is not authorized to sell the product but still he is selling to the customers and taking amount from them by saying manufacturer will give the service and warranty and this is genuine and original product of manufacturer?? Now my point is I am not looking for this product in any condition hence kindly refund the amount of Rs 4389 (invoice amount) else provide the different model with same price or we people will be answerable before consumer forum and before all social networking sites that these are the internal agreement between two most branded organizations to cheat customers. If I am not getting the solution within seven days we will be serve legal notice from my Lawyer and will send it to you below HQ: Alos Shinagawa Intercity Tower C, 2-15-3, Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo 108-6290, Japan then we have to give the refund + compensation.                           I have received a defective piece of D7000. Dropped the below mail to nindsupport & nindsales. Please help me folks: "I have purchased a Nikon D7000 DSLR from The Prism, Kolkata, Nikon's Exclusive showroom in Kolkata on 18th July 2015. While unboxing the camera, Mr. Ashish, who was the person at the store, felt that the autofocus was not working. He removed the lense & set it properly again, changed the autofocus switch in between M-AF (in the body) and it started working fine. He said that the lense was not set properly. Later on I faced the same issue & discovered that the AF/M Switch in the camera body is not working properly. Whenever I am changing it from M to AF, AF is not working. Display shows it is in Manual mode. Please note: Lense AF/M button is always in sync with the body. Last week I reported the issue to The Prism and I they accepted that there is a defect in the switch, better to say manufacturing defect. Now I claimed for a full body replacement of D7000 since it is a manufacturing defect, they redirected me to the Nikon Service Center. In the Nikon Service Center, at A.J.C Bose Road, Mr. Biswajit, Nikon engineer, examined the product and find it is not working. When I asked for a replacement they said replacement can not be done from the service center end. Now, The Prism is not agreeing to replace the product and confusing me suggesting several glitching words. Finally, Mr. Kaushik Datta is not reviving my calls. Since this is a manufacturing defect and from the day 1, I am looking for a replacement and not a repair. Please suggest me what is the procedure to replace the product since it is written in the warranty card that "Your Nikon Digital Product is Guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for one full year from the date of purchase." Thank you for your patience & assistance. Dropped this mail with the hope that Nikon will help me out before I moved to consumer forum.".

                          I have received mail from NIND Support that the policy differs from country to country.
                          Let me know why a warranty policy & clauses are offered in the country where it is not applicable.

                          Nikon India should not have different policy apart from Nikon. This type of justification is highly disappointing from Nikon.

                                  Dear Sir, I purchased a Nikon Coolpix P520 from the Camarena at H.B. Road, Ranchi on 10/06/2014 within three months that is by September 2014 I observed its rubberised grip had loosened and now that is on 18/03/2015 when I tried to switch on my camera it did not open and when it finally did, none of the controls were working. I took it to the Cinema Cinema service centre which is an authorised Nikon centre in the evening, where they said it was a case of shutter error or malfunction and said it could take 3-4 days at least and said that they would provide a standby if I'm very much in need of a camera but when I asked for the standby they said they didn't have any. I have a field trip from 21-23 March and I don't have a camera when I need it the most . It is regrettable that a company of your size and reputation is putting out such substandard cameras on the market and the after sales service offered by your authorised service centres is not up to the mark and is causing great inconvenience. In this connection I would like to mention that a few years ago I purchased a Nikon S570 within two years the stopper for the battery broke and now the battery does not stay in place and keeps sliding down. I'm seeing a flicker on the screen when shooting in all the modes except for 760 - 50fps and match it to 50 Hz noise reduction manually. This is affecting my professional work. I took my camera to a service centre and the technician their tells me that he has never come across such a case before.                                       I have deposited my nikon coolpix s3100 ai your siliguri service centre on 01/08/14 vide IVR/SLR-001872 owing to LENS ERROR problem.service engineer given an estimate of Rs-3900.00, on my refusal they charged Rs 225 .00 for inspection.On my query they stated it requires complete change although camera itself worth Rs-5000/-.Accordingly, I went to local technician where the problem got solved for only Rs-500/ -.
