[Resolved] Oyo Rooms — cyber crime /fraud | |||
Sir i am submitting some fraud is going on in oyo rooms. Whenever i booked hotel through oyo app after some time someone called me and saying he is from oyo and said i can provide 25% discount. I agreed he had my booking id and phone number already with him. He changed my booking id and after some time my hotel charges were paid by that person. Was asking him, i will pay through app. But he told me that you have to pay me directly by paytm/bhim/link. I paid him money through link link he sent. But next day i thought something fishy. I called customer care. [protected] (Oyo customer care) when person picked my call too much background noises were there. Again something fishy. I asked him are you customer care representative he said no and felt sorry for background noises. Then i conveyed my msg to that person. But then i searched customer care number from website it was [protected], i called and asked the person regarding that number. He said only this is the customer care number. I told him everything he noted down the number. But he told me money is paid he sent me. Confirmation mail. Sir that guy afterwards told me that he is agent and he has database of oyo, goibibo, yatra. Whenever person book the hotel they get details and provide discounts. But after 2 days hotel staff called me to reception and told me that now (Collect money from guest) is shown. But before it was showing money is paid. Then i again called customer care and he told money is paid. Same thing was conveyed. At last. I have booked 3 hotel rooms on 23rd of April 2022, I have received call from the hotel manager and he was telling me that they are not providing any accommodation for those who have booked rooms via oyo app or website. I have contacted the customer care team but they not even willing to help me out they will pick my call, listen to my problem and then cut the call. Worst app for booking hotel plz never use this app.
