Paytm — Defective product sent back to another address given by customer care

Dear sir / madam,

At the opening, i would say, i am embarrassed as well as shamed that i am a customer of paytm.

Here is the embarrassing & my harrassed story:
My wedding anniversary was on the 22/06/2016 and my wife wanted a tablet as a gift which i promised her that i will give her.

For her, i placed an order for "iball slide brace x1 10.1 inch tablet" on 17/06/2016 and the seller, othree systems and solutions pvt ltd sent me the tablet on[protected] itself and i received it 3-4 days later [file attached: invoice_[protected]. pdf]. i opened the tablet box and it contained a cracked tablet of the same make. i used your paytm website to return the product and the address to which it should be shipped [file attached: ship_add#1] the label on the paytm bill also mentioned the same address. so i was damn sure that it would reach to the seller.

However, just as a precaution, i called your paytm customer care on[protected] and she sent me an email giving the address where i have to send the broken tablet and the list of the couriers related to paytm. [file attached: ship_add#2] it was the same address, by the way, and i sent it to the same address via "ondot courier" (awb no[protected].

I had to pacify my wife who was really angry because i had broken my promise on our wedding anniversary.

When i checked the status of the delivery on the ondot courier website, it says that the shipment is being returned to its origin. [file: awb_[protected]]. i called up the courier boy at mumbai and he told me that the shipping address is wrong. i told him to read out the address on the box, which he did and the address was correct as sent by your customer care, which is given below. the address on the tablet box, invoice and your pathetic customer care sent me is :

Again i called customer care on[protected] and this guy sends me a different address.[file attached: ship_add#3]
The address he sent me is :
Shop no-101, first floor, mhada building, tribhuvan road, lamington road, mumbai-400004
City - mumbai, state - maharashtra, pin code - 400004

Despite the adress being the same 3 times now it is a different address which means that i have to pay the courier charges again if the tablet is returned to me and your customer care told me that paytm will pay me rs. 200 as courier charges.

Again, as you can see, there is no shop name on it. what should i write there. it contains only shop number. pathetic people you are. we should award you with a phd degree in "customer harassment" with a thesis title "how to harrass & confuse customers in the right manner".

Every time i email "[protected]@paytm.com", i get the same old email saying thea the resolution will happen in 24 - 48 hours and nothing happens.

I called "on-dot" couriers and they told me that the status was "delivered". your customer care executive provides me with a wrong address and "on-dot" couriers, surprisingly, delivers it.

I, again called customer care on 13/07/2016, and your pathetic customer care executive told me that i have to send it to the new address that he provided again. i told him that the tablet was delivered and i cannot send it again. he tells me that the address was wrong and surprisingly i had to talk to him in hindi to make him understand the problem. again no solution was given, he simply told me that i had to send it to that address only.

The situation is now that, because of paytm, i have my wife who is angry at me, i have lost rs. 16489 and no tablet with me, as well as i have harrassed by your customer care so many times that i have lost my trust in paytm. this entire episode, i am uploading in facebook and twitter so that others can share it and get to know the true nature of paytm, what it does to its customers.

Please answer the following point to point. my questions are
1. how can paytm be so careless with regards to its customers?
2. why should i lose money for paytm customer-care's carelessness?
3. i have already got cashback of 1319 for it. now again i have to shell out extra money to purchase the same item once again because i trusted paytm to send me a good product and i used my cashback for other related products.
4. how long do you plan to harrass your customers like this with your pathetic customer care?
5. i will go to "consumer's court" with this compliant. i will also file a harrassment case with against paytm if i am either not refunded or sent a new good tablet for which i have already paid for.
6. why should i trust paytm again?
7. who pays for my spoiled wedding anniversary and mental torture?
8. i think paytm will learn a lesson if i file a case against paytm with human rights commission. i will definitely do it.
9. since the incident, already 480 hours has elapsed since the incident. why havent you responded within 48 hours as mentioned in the email. i have all your committed proofs which i'm enclosing as well as submit to human rights commission.
10. who pays for the courier charges & long telephone calls that i made to customer care?

Oj july 18th, i get an email that my return request is cancelled which means that rs. 16489.00 goes down the drain.

I am waiting for a response and a solution for the 10 points mentioned above from your end which is 24 hours at most. i would not like to listen to "sorry" from paytm again.

I am filing an rti case against you today.
